I know, I know, there are Ether resources in the Hollows, bizarre creations, even ruins of the old civilization — all invaluable treasures. But don't forget about the spatial disorder, the monsters, and mutants running rampant. Ultimately, this is a disaster that could swallow the world. Hollows are not where ordinary people should go. So don't go into Hollows. Or at least, don't go in alone. If you insist on getting into danger, go to New Eridu first. This city full of people from all walks of life has many who need the Hollows: powerful and wealthy tycoons, gangs who rule the streets, schemers hiding in the shadows, and ruthless officials. Make your preparations there, find strong allies, and most importantly... Find a "Proxy." Only they can guide people out of labyrinthian Hollows. Good luck. Zenless Zone Zero is an all-new 3D action game from HoYoverse that takes place in a near future, with the world plagued by a mysterious disaster known as "Hollows." Dual Identities, a Singular Experience In the near future, a mysterious natural disaster known as "Hollows" has occurred. A new kind of city has emerged in this disaster-ridden world — New Eridu. This last oasis has mastered the technology to co-exist with Hollows and is home to a whole host of chaotic, boisterous, dangerous, and very active factions. As a professional Proxy, you play a crucial role in linking the city and the Hollows. Your story awaits. Build Your Squad and Fight Fast-Paced Battles Zenless Zone Zero is an all-new 3D action game from HoYoverse, here to provide a thrilling combat experience. Build a squad of up to three and begin your assault with Basic and Special Attacks. Dodge and Parry to neutralize your opponents' counterattacks, and when they're Stunned, unleash a powerful combo of Chain Attacks to finish them off! Remember, different opponents have different traits, and it would be prudent to use their weaknesses to your advantage. Immerse Yourself in the Unique Style and Music Zenless Zone Zero has a unique visual style and design. With its carefully crafted character expressions and fluid movements, you'll easily feel immersed in the fascinating world as you embark on your own journey~ And of course, every VIP deserves their very own soundtrack, so you'll also have emotional beats full of drip to accompany you in each unforgettable moment~ Surprise Encounters With Various Factions Random Play can't operate without videotapes, and Proxies can't operate without Agents. Watching trailers and teasers, I can't tell if there is more fighting here than Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail. VirtualBoyFreak Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 26, 2011 4,801 85 48 Spain #5 VirtualBoyFreak, Jul 4, 2024 I play Honkai Star Rail since day 1 and fighting is basically turn based. I think it has little to do with Zenless Zone Zero fighting, which seems an A-RPG, more in line with Genshin Impact or Honkai Impact 3rd. Samuel Dodee likes this. Lots of button mashing for me but it’s very well put together as you’d expect! The way the whole gameplay loop works (with the TV screen traversal) is kind of curious and clearly going to be quite complex in the end with all the W-Engines and stuff to think about. Interested to see how that pans out. But for sheer spectacle and ‘coolness’ it was worth the 20gb download for sure. Rocksaint and squarezero like this. As long as you are not obsessive about specific gacha drops, you will get a lot out of the game without spending money. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #11 Rocksaint, Jul 8, 2024 I’m not sure how many here are actually playing ZZZ as I don’t see a lot of buzz here. But wow oh wow, this game is something. Storytelling of the highest quality. Interesting and well designed characters brimming with personality. (And I’ve only met a few) Brilliant writing and voice acting. Short bursts of exhilarating combat. This game has it all. And to top it all off, the game respects your time. It clearly tells you when you are about to enter a particular stretch of the game. So you don’t feel forcefully drawn out to keep playing. (Most games in this genre do - even Hoyo’s previous games are guilty of it) It’s clear the company has learned a lot from their previous games and matured, which has resulted in this brilliant piece of work. Hats off to them. And since this is a live service game, being this good and complete at launch (a rare sight nowadays), for it, sky is the limit. I have only reached chapter 1 but there’s so much to it. And I am taking it slow. I think this a game anyone and everyone can enjoy. Whether you are into this genre or not. Whether you like or despise gacha RPG games. It’s that good. adin, squarezero and anthony78 like this. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #12 anthony78, Jul 8, 2024 Agreed with all these points. Simple Jack Member Sep 25, 2022 17 7 3 Male #14 Simple Jack, Jul 9, 2024 It’s a good deal to get the monthly 5 dollar daily plan and, to a somewhat lesser extent, the two-month battle pass for 10. Beyond that I would stay away from the buy button. That’s kinda the standard for all these games now though. This game is too young to really say in terms of how different A vs S characters are and the importance of S weapons and “cinema levels” are in the meta. With HOYOVERSE in general I CAN say that the difference between me and a whale in HSR, per event is like 34/36 starring an event vs 36/36 starring an event. The reward for that difference is like two pulls which is nothing to me and even less to the whale. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #15 Rocksaint, Jul 10, 2024 I just finished chapter 1. Wow. What a satisfying and brilliant ending to the storyline. Absolutely epic. It could easily challenge most movies. Storytelling in this game is becoming a benchmark and I fear it is ruining any future mobile game storytelling for me. squarezero likes this. I was initially interested in playing ZZZ (and I admit it looks awesome!), but tbh I’m more into auto-play turn-based battles and from what I read, ZZZ seems more Genshin than HSR gameplay-wise. In the end, this and the multi-GB size of the app kept me away from trying ZZZ and I just continue playing HSR daily. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
