You probably all remember I am Rich, the $1000 app that didnt do anything and ended up getting pulled. Well, a french developer came up with a new spin on that. His $1 app, iWanted rich, comes with the promise that on February 1st, hell increase its price to $1000. Apparently, he thinks it will impress your friends. While I dont know why Apple approved it, the concept is quite ingenious and Im convinced hes going to make a little fortune on this one, mostly after the increase.
If people are willing to pay for it and it is clear what is happening, then I wish more power to him. It is completely stupid, but no body is getting hurt.
Well regardless, this is an app not a game so this post has no business being in new releases. You should contact a moderator to have this moved to a more appropriate spot.
Hehe, that is logically wrong! If I buy an 1$ app and the price increases to 1.000$, I still own an 1$ app, because it has no real resale value. Another question is, if this app is worth 1$. Third point: in germany, we call that "Bauernfängerei"! Fourth: my friends aren't that stupid to believe that I would pay 1.000$ for a useless application. Even with just the thought of it I would insult them in my opinion. And last but not least: I don't need to impress my friends. They don't like or respect me because of my money. (Males who need to impress other people maybe have little... er.... yeah... ) *grin*
Mind. Blown. Well, I won't be buying it. I just bought full versions of Hook Champ and Rolando 2 even though i swore I was done buying apps this week. LOL! I NEED TO STOP!!!
Pedgusta you moron you didn't post this. http://appadvice.com/appnn/2010/01/you-too-can-own-a-1000-app/
