Yeah me too. I've been watching how much I spent over the last couple weeks so I could afford this. Worth it
Well I finally played my PlayStation Plus copy, and I have to say it is just not my game I used to really like games like Advance Wars and such, but... I don't know. I'm not feeling this one
i think this month i almost spen a hundred dollar ......-_-' i just got fascinated by pink floyd so buying their albums also and fighting fantasy series ............ hope Xcom would be great saw the gameplay video and totaly fell in love woulldn't mind the downgraded graphic like when i bought Mortal Kombat for Vita the gameplay is intact and it's great cant wait until thursday (friday here in indonesia)
Coles have 20% of iTunes cards so picked up a couple today. Means XCOM will only set me back 16 bucks
...Gangstar Vegas, Spiral, WHQuest, FFT update, this has been a great run for iOS gaming. Not to mention other GREAT games like Quadropus Rampage, Jacob Jones, the Kemco Universals, Combo Crew, Phoenix HD Phantom update, the Into the Dead update, the new Zen Pinball tables, Dead Ahead, World War Z (yeah i really enjoyed this despite the hate)... Gawd i have to stop. The upcoming releases that will elevate the iOS gaming library some more. Damn i really need to stop.
Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but if you have the PC build what differences does the iOS version offer?
Portability you can play it anywhere even in the Loo since i dont have much time to play in front of the telly
Not much has been said on terms of UI etc. All we know is the negatives such as lost maps and graphical shortcomings. If the UI is put together well to emphasise ios' characteristics than hopefully it should leapfrog the limitations of a less powerful platform
Have you ever read his post history? Quite contradicting, in many terms. Oh, and anybody please tell him that iOS devices are no handheld consoles or whatever. iOS devices are multimedia devices for hundreds of different uses and they are somehow able to play games. Gaming is just one of the uses, but not the main.
I'm not too concerned about graphical shortcomings in comparison. As long as I can easily tell what's going on I'm fine with that. Having fewer maps is a bummer, but not the end of the world. I'm still ready to pay my $20. I've got a 6 hour or so road trip this Friday and I won't be driving.
Has there been an announcement of how many maps the iOS edition will have? How does content compare to the full edition offered on PC/Playstation/Etc?
Quite excited to see X-Com Enemy Unknown coming to iOS. Was prepared to plonk down the cash to get this on my iPad. However I managed to get it free on my PS3 as part of my PS+ subscription. Played for two hours today and I am hooked. Now I know what is the big deal about this game, it is seriously addictive. If you do not own it on any other platforms, I think this is a must buy!
That will be the most stressfully fun six hours of your life! There are lots of hard choices to make in the game early on from what country you choose to set satellites up on first, what skills to choose, what alien tech to research and develop, etc! I can't wait to replay this and on my iPad no less!
But, but, but... You can have it on the go... Understandable though. I preordered this for the 360 (I am a big Xcom fan), still own it and I am buying this come Wednesday night/Thursday morning!
I've got a 35 hour road trip next weekend so the timing of this release is just awesome for me Now back to freeing up some space...
