If you're referring to Insomniac now developing multiplatform games, then no. Ratchet and Clank will not be coming to the Xbox. Ratchet is Sony owned property. On Topic: Get a PS3, unless you wanna play Gears or Mass Effect that badly. Mass Effect can be played on a decent enough PC though.
Yeah no joke, and my friends on my PSN list spam me to get it. Can't bring myself to play it though... wasn't a huge fan of GTAIV and if it uses the same engine... well I just wans't a fan is all.
Well I don't really play online mp much and I don't see why I should be charged for it after the cost of the console, the game and the internet connection. Making you pay for it is just plain greedy IMO. And yes it has all those extra features but I don't want/need them. As someone who doesn't play tons of multiplayer I don't want to be paying a subscription fee for something I rarely use and that's part of the reason I have a PS3.
Honestly, I'm fine paying what, $4.50 a month and playing my one year subscription, but there are some things better about xbox 360 and some things are better with the PS3. As the performance of both of these gaming consoles does match to a great extent, price can turn out to be a deciding factor, when it comes to PS3 vs Xbox 360. In case of the Xbox, there are various models that have different price tags. Based on your requirement, you can opt for models that have lower hard disk capacity, and are thus, consequently cheaper. The cheapest is the Xbox 360 Arcade version, priced at $199.99, and does not feature a HDD. It has 512 MB of on-board memory, which can be used to save game data. The Xbox 360 Elite is a higher end model, which has two variants, priced at $299.99 and $399.99. The Elite priced at $299.99, features a 120 GB HDD, and a single wireless controller, while the more expensive $399.99 version of Elite has two wireless controllers, in addition to a 250 GB HDD. Sony's PlayStation 3 is also, available in various models and in different price range. The basic model comes with a 120 GB hard drive and is priced approximately, at $300. The higher end model has a 250 GB hard drive, and comes with various free games, depending on your geographical location. In the United States, this higher end model comes with Tekken 6 free, and is priced approximately, at USD400. Both models come with a blu-ray drive which can be used for multimedia purposes as well. To sum up, both the Xbox 360, as well as the PS3 have their own pros and cons. Xbox 360 does have a slight edge, in this case, as price might end up being a major deterrent in terms of the PS3. While it is very difficult to choose which is better, the PS3 or Xbox 360, hardcore gamers will prefer the Xbox 360, while people looking for an all round entertainment device might be happier with the PS3. Don't forget, the xbox 360 has much more easier controls, and a better interface no offense. I just cant get used to the 2 joysticks at that place on the PS3 controller!!!
Still, no one I know plays it. By forfeit, RDR wins. I usually have more fun playing with other people than by myself though, unless the game's really innovative and not just another FPS. My next game'll be Halo Reach, so I'll definitely be sinking tons of hours into that.
Only $4.50 a month? I swear it's more like £10/month here in England. Anyway, the subscription fees confuse me. Whatever the cost, it's an extra cost that I could avoid by getting a PS3, which I did, and I'm perfectly happy with it.
I think all in all I have almost spent more on my 360 than I have on my PS3. I have the Fat 160GB PS3 which was what... $499 at the time? Plus Additional Controller ($55), Head Set ($50), Remote Control ($25), Chat Pad ($50) (which blows d*ck btw). So $500+$180 = $680. VS. Arcade 360 ($200), WiFi Thingy ($100), Additional Controller ($50), Wired Headset+Keypad ($30), Wireless Headset ($50), 2 Play and Charge Packs ($40) 120GB HDD ($150 at the time...), 2 Years of XBL ($100) = $720. WOW .... Not to mention all the games I have gotten for each system. That could have been a down payment on a new car >.> Anyways. I was bored so I thought I would calculate that. Not everyone has to have every little thing, and plus I only buy Licenced Microsoft or Sony products. With the exception of my rad ass NYJets controller for the PS3 my wife got me ^.^
Including breakages, I've spent more on my 360 too. Approx £585 in total, and £380 on my PS3... which still ends up with 480GB more memory. As for games, 53 on 360 and 58 on PS3
Yeah, if you didn't get the licensed stuff, it'd be cheaper. Controller: stay licensed just to be safe, mine's lasted since I got my Xbox Headset: got a great cushy one off eBay for 99c from some guy in Hong Kong. packaging was a little torn, but still working great. wired, though. Chat Pad: pretty sure you could find a cheaper alternative The play-and-play packs can be substituted for the news Duracell plug and go pack with rechargable batteries. 'bout $20 cheaper. Wi-Fi: get an old router and mod it, takes some effort, though. Live Subscription: where and why are you paying $100 a year?! From Microsoft, it's $60.
I got mine $50 each, the $100 bucks was 2 years worth (since I have had my xbox for a little over a year and a half now) I know I can pretty much find cheaper alternatives for stuff (or at least eBay some sh!T), but I just like licenced products. Make me feel just a tad safer LMAO
