I'm not that negative, I just thought your earlier posts reeked of fanboyism so I decided to counter everything you say
Oh trust there are plenty of fanboys on these threads... That's why in many gaming sites the x360 vs ps3 posts are deleted
Not only on gaming sites. I can guarantee you that you'll find a retarded 360/PS3 fanboy fight on Oprah Winfrey's forum.
Overall ps3 is a great machine, but that is if you want to use all the features. I have both system and here is how I see it. Xbox360 owns ps3 if you just talk aboutthe gaming experience. If you only want to play games and have a good experience, then 360 is for you ps3 is a great entertainment machine. If you like the bluray stuff, streaming very easily, browsing and so much more, plus a very solid gaming experience that doesn't come tied in with extra expenses, then ps3 is for you me, I love my ps3 becuase I have my home theater running through it for blu Ray purposes. Plus I like some of the ps3 exclusives. Then it's a tie between wii and 360 for me, depends on what type of games I want to play i hate fanboys, there are pros and cons for all three major gaming systems, so let's compare them rather then grossly enhance one and grossly degrade the other. To the person above me, how can you moon ps3 fanboys when you clearly are a 360 fanboy. In my opinion, all fanboys should be moon'd, or whatever you kids want to do haha enjoy what you have, i'm sure that's why you bought it
I don't know if you've actually read the thread, but the majority of it has been genuine opinion and serious comparison rather than meaningless fanboy banter. I even posted showing my surprise at such a turnout a few pages back. Simply calling everyone a fanboy would only suggest that you don't like the fact one console seems to be getting slightly more praise than another. Because nobody likes you. Nah I'm kidding, you just don't have very good taste in games.
Well I love the xbox 360 but I think that has alot to do with the overall gaming experience which involves 95% of my friends own one so its more enjoyable to be able to join a mate online for a few games of COD-MW2. The control pads on the 360 do feel quality tho and I used to be a PS2 fan! I wouldnt rule out having a PS3 tho for all the extra features built in, blu ray, wifi, etc, etc, as so far out of the 3 xbox's ive had, 2 have got the RROD. Its not really the expense that bothers me, (ms repaired, free, 1 months live free and they paid for all the costs, plus i got each one back within a week) I just go out buy an arcade (sooo cheap now!), transfer my hard disk across, and im away again and then I sell my old console (with the bundled stuff of the new one) at a discounted price to cover the price of the new one. It is annoying tho and I really hope ms learn from this with their next console or on future versions of the xbox 360. (if there are any!)
When I had my ps3 it just felt so dull and boring compared to my 360, hardly anyone talked online while playing fps games. I guess that's the reason I love the 360 so much. Excellent communication with all of your friends anytime. Last time I owned a ps3 was november 2008? How much has the PSN network changed since than and have people online become more chatty?
Yes and no. You'll often find people chatting in the big games like MW2 and the like, but it's not commonplace like it is on the 360. Which suits me fine. 99% of the people talking on XBL just annoyed me, I always turned them off and stuck music on. The best way to chat is always with friends, and most of my PS3 friends have mics so it's basically just cutting out the gangsta kids and singing freaks. The only option it's missing is cross-game chat, which has been promised for a while... it's gotta come eventually.
Cross-game voice chat is coming... but you're going to have to pay for it. It will come with the Premium Service, I'm afraid.
I'm glad forums like this weren't around in the days of SNES and Sega Genesis. Back then I could have written 10 page essays arguing the pros and cons of each... These days I just don't really care which is better, and it's all subjective anyways. I've spent very limited time with XB 360... like I played Gears of War for 20 minutes one time. I like my PS3 because that's what I have and it works for me. I like watching Blue Ray's and using it as an entertainment center of sorts. It's funny people have mentioned XB is more noisy than PS... I always thought the PS was already a bit more noisy than I'd like, but I'm glad to know I have the quieter of the two. I don't play online very often I usually just play myself so paying for XB Live wouldn't be worth it to me, as I play multi-player maybe an hour or so every other week on average. I'm surprised to hear many people find the PS3 controller uncomfortable. I've always found the XB controllers to be a bit bulky, but I've never owned either XB and haven't played enough to get used to the controls. PS3 controllers are almost identical to PS2, and I thought almost everyone had a PS2. Wouldn't you all be used to it already?
Honestly, I dislike the 360, but I sure do use the controller on my PC. When it comes down to it, I like the organic curves of the xbox 360 controller and where your fingers land on it vs. the ps3 one. The ps3 one looks very cool but just doesn't fill your hands when you hold it. PS3 controller almost feels more like a toy. The original xbox controller on the other hand, wow, it was like holding a cynder block in your hand.
...and the 360 controller looks like one. I keep expecting animal noises to sound when I hit those pretty, colorful buttons I liked the GC controller, the button layout wasn't all that great, but the shape of the thing as a whole was awesome. The Dreamcast controller wasn't too bad either, but again, failed with the button layout.
