I really hope that by "KB" you meant "MB". 1800 kilobytes is only 1.8 megabytes, or the size of a good-quality picture. But seeing as you're talking about MAG, I would guess that you meant megabytes. Anywho, back on topic... have you ever compared the amount of time it takes to update firmware between the two consoles? It's like night and day to me. It may just be where I live, though; it may be that I have to hop several IPs to get to Sony's servers, while I might have not as many to hop between to get to Microsoft's. Yeah, same with me on the failure thing. For all these failure cases that have been reported, mine hasn't failed once. It's not just when a disk is in the drive, though. It makes much more noise than the PS3 when the 360 is just idling. I mean, there are certain... hardware hacks (so to speak) that can remedy the problem, but I don't want to go to all that trouble to fix it and void the warranty in the process.
Yes, yes it does. The SIXAXIS..... uggh, fail. Again, if it weren't for the PS3 exclusives, I wouldn't have one. Only thing that makes them even are the exclusives.
I HAVE A PS3 and an 360 but the 360 died so im w/ ps3 cause free live and different games only for ps3 like assassins creed II
No, I prefer it. The 360 controller looks like a big plastic toy for kids. As I said before, any controller will start to feel more comfortable once you start using it often, it's just like wearing in a new pair of shoes, after all... most of us were perfectly happy with NES controllers a couple of decades ago. Anyway, built-in battery > expensive optional battery pack. Plus 360 controllers occasionally get faulty analogue sticks that constantly tilt to the left, it's only noticeable in games with little to no dead zone though. They also take longer to turn on and obviously... d-pad issue. That's not to say both aren't comfortable. I use both regularly and they're both equally as snug in my hands. Edit: and Mass Effect was a mess of a game.
I thought the ps3 control felt like some made-in-china peice of shit in my hands. But I do think the dpad on the 360 controller blows, an I have noticed on some of my friend's controller the analog stick is messed up. Edit: Mass effect was an amazing game.
sorry if this is a dumb question. i just got my xbox360. how do you install games to the HDD and what does that do for you. also, is there a way you can buy built-in internet on your xbox. where, price. sorry for all the questions
One of my PS3 controllers has its right analog stick just off-centre to the right, so my characters will always point uncontrollably in the wrong direction. Mass Effect was an awesome game, elaborate how it was a mess if you may.
All of my PS3 and 360 controllers were made in China. It was hyped to insane heights due to the apparent realistic conversations you can have... of which there were... none really. Aside from a few key moments, nothing really mattered. You were still getting a bunch of canned replies and the story still dragged you along whichever way it wanted. The shooting elements were decent, but nothing to rave about, people liked it because it was "shooting... in an RPG!" but that still didn't make it good shooting. Boring side mission after boring side misson... so many planets/moons that were nothing but gray rock with a couple of beacons spread about, and the controls on that buggy were dreadful. Last but not least... the slow texture loading thanks to the UT3 engine, I can understand when it happens loading an entire environment, but for a single piece of armor in a menu? Ridiculous. I can totally see how the game would appeal to hardcore sci-fi nerds due to the subject matter, but standing alone as a game there were just way too many flaws.
This is no different than a Microsoft vs Apple thread. Both have their ups and downs, I personally prefer 360, but that doesn't mean it's better. The consoles are so similar in what they do that it's really just a matter of preference. 360 has exclusives, so does PS3. Blah blah blah blah
DS is a cool game, but you can't really compare it to Mass Effect 2. Is like comparing an indie film to a good blockbuster movie.
Why do people bash on consoles they don't have and sometimes even never played on? Both the ps3 and x360 have strengths and weaknesses over each other but both are amazing nonetheless. -You might have to pay for XBL (online) but trust me it is much better than the ps3. Like the saying, you get what you pay for but then again free is way more attractive -By now both share about the same 3rd party games but the exclusives can make you decide which console to get. X360: -Gears of War 1&2 -Halo 3&ODST - say what you may but there is a reason why they sell so much -Mass Effect 1&2 -Left 4 Dead 1&2 -Fable 2 PS3 -Uncharted 1&2 - one word: WOW! -LittleBigPlanet -Resistance 1&2 -God of War 3!!!!!!!!! - yeah it's not out yet but it's a safe bet to say it'll be awesome -As far as controllers go, I am more used to the 360 but both are good enough for me. None are unplayable so personal taste will do it for this one. However, the built-in battery is a winning point for the ps3 but the play-and-charge kit for the 360 is a non-expensive option (the official one is not the only there are cheaper ones which work just as well). -Blueray>DVD so this one goes to the ps3 because Netflix can no longer be an excuse for the 360. -Interface is again personal but I find the ps3 to be much too basic for my liking; the 360 dashboard is incredible in comparison. -Wireless connectivity goes to the ps3 because it's built-in contrary to the 360 for which you either have to use an Ethernet cable or buy an expensive adapter. Now if you want a more complete package out of the box the ps3 is the clear winner but if you can get both do so as both have unique things to offer.
