Hardware: Ps3 Cost: At first-xbox 360 Over time- Ps3 Game selection: Tie Online: xbox 360 close but it's the ps3.
Nothing to be ashamed of. The 90 posts per day, sure, be ashamed of that. You've been here 5 days. You don't know about UndeadZed's underground game trafficking, or TheBatOuttaHell's nude photo leaks, but you will in due time.
The Break Down - PS3 PWNS (With Some Exceptions) Wow surprised PS3 is winning but happy it is, Let Me Break it Down for Y'all: PS3 is Better. Better Graphics, Don't Have to Pay for Online Play, Blu-ray, Fail Rate is Not NEARLY as High as the Xbox 360's (aka 3 Rings of Death anyone?), PS3 Has Almost Every Game Xbox 360 Has Except Halo, Oh and Don't Forget PS3 Has LittleBigPlanet Baby! BUT More People Do Have the Xbox 360 (probably cause the PS3 was so highly priced for pretty much forever until now), Xbox 360 Has Halo (Big Woopty-Do!), More People Have Mics on Xbox 360 than people on PS3....OH AND XBOX 360 IS MADE BY...EW, MICROSOFT...DUN DUN DUN - NEED I SAY MORE?
Microsoft is...well there customer support is full of.....well...not any good speaking english... As my friend once said "On the phone for an hour" and this is the best part "On the good side, after talking to Indians for an hour, I can do a damn good Indian accent."
I like both, personally. The 360 has a larger user base (well, that will likely soon change...) and it's the console most of my friends use. It has most of the exclusives I would ever want (Not that Halo 3 was that big of a deal, but Mass Effect kicked the crap out of every other game I have ever played). MW2 runs like a dream on it, and the paid subscription to online service allows them to upgrade their hardware/firmware more often, as more income means more techs available to work on the upgrades. The RROD is slowly diminishing; however, it should have never been there in the first place, and the noise that it cranks out when running a disk is horrible. It's barely tolerable when there isn't a disk in the drive. The PS3 has better graphics due to the Blu-Ray disks it uses, but is lackluster when running Blu-Ray movies (Oppo Blu-Ray players FTW!). Games like Uncharted 2 and MGS4 had awesome gameplay as well as compelling storylines and a cinematic experience. (But Mass Effect 2 did the same on the 360, throwing in an awesome decision-making component as well. I'd say more, but I'm digressing enough.) I liked Forza Motorsport 3 for the 360 better than Gran Turismo, but that's just an opinion paired with an awesome force-feedback steering wheel. PS3's online is free to use, but updating is a monstrous pain. I don't want to wait an hour to update my system's firmware as well as apply bug fixes in the game I desire to play. The 360 never has had that problem; updating for me is smooth sailing on Microsoft's device, often taking only seconds. The major dashboard update that occurred a few months ago took less that 5 minutes on the 360. My latest PS3 update: 20 minutes total between the firmware and Uncharted 2's bug fixes. Both using Ethernet cables of the same brand and model. Both currently have Netflix streaming capabilities, but it seems that we get better graphics when streaming onto the PS3. Kinda tanks that a disc has to be used, though. And the lack of a party chat option on the PS3 totally blows. The XBox revolutionized online gameplay, and Microsoft continues that experience to the 360. Sony is catching up, but slower than desirable.
I wish every app had Minigore graphics...2010 - The Age of 3D App Takeover...that's what I'm looking forward to personally! 2D is No Longer Acceptable!
