Yeah, I have this problem too. I have to get to get a wireless adapter, as my Xbox is on the other side of the house, and I don't think need to try to get a cord that far.
I think they're probably about the same... maybe giving a slight edge to PS3. I own both and they both have pros and cons, but the pros for the PS3 just happen to suit me personally. Plus I've just started to build up my Blu-ray collection... quite enjoying that so far.
yeah but how much would the adapter and the xbox live card cost altogether? or couldn't i just get a longer cord and run it through my house somewhere? which would be cheaper
A month of gold is $8, and it's around $60 for a year. Pay as you go or all at once, your choice. An adapter, new, is $100. Really freakin' pricey. These are your options. Long ethernet cord - cheapest option, but annoying depending on where your modem is. Reprogrammed router - cheaper than adapter, but requires you do a little digital tinkering Forward a Wi-Fi signal through the ethernet port on a laptop - one of the easier options, costs nothing if you already have a laptop, but you gotta constantly move the computer back and forth. I'd honestly go with the ethernet cable.
yeah i was thinkin that but if i did use a longer one then it would have to run through the floor because the xbox is in the living room and the computer is in the room next to it and there would be a lot of trying-not-to-step-on-the-cord stuff going on
My internet is 1Mbit. I'm sure wireless signals traveling between my router and 360 at 54 Mbps is sufficient. If I don't get lag from the signal moving at 1Mbit down the phone line, I'm not gonna get it through the faster part of the connection.
