oh i thought the update would of included some online multiplayer, and i will only get this game once it has that!
No multiplayer no sale for me. This game is meant to have online multiplayer and without it, its just meh, IMHO.
Updates are free anyway. I figure that even if you get this now, you'll enjoy it sans multiplayer. And when and if multiplayer comes out, you'll be way ahead of the pack in terms of skill.
I played worms on other platforms. I would say, i'm probably an expert user of the ninja rope. Worms is totally an online multiplayer game, for it to be sans multiplayer is like Mario not having mushrooms, its stupid. I will not buy this until it has full internet multiplayer. I will not recommend anyone buy this at this moment too. You guys are encouraging devs to ship their early beta game as the final product and then banging on their promises of actually finishing the game. Good luck! I refuse to be on this wagon again.
And you are assuming that all others want multiplayer. Er, sorry to burst that bubble, but they don't. Some remain quite happy playing this by themselves. Still others might not have the capability to play online all/any of the time, so again "multiplayer" isn't a requirement. Just because online play is missing doesn't make it a Beta.
Well said. I, for one, really don't care about multiplayer at all. It's one of the lowest priorities when choosing a game to play. If a game has multiplayer it's like saying to me "Not only can the AI beat you, there are hundreds of thousands of other people who can beat you EVEN MORE!". Doesn't do my inferiority complex that much good ;-) Jamie.
its a great game but of course hving online multiplyer will mke it far better actually i nver liked that much the original worms i played worms forts 3d and i enjoyed it more i hope it will also be ported to iphone hahahahah wala lang
Online alone is seamless, $.99 is quite a deal , i rather a solid game then having to trade off graphivs for performance, which i think is so so dumb whu not just make the game fluid on all versions, team 17 is slackin , along with a online mp promise in "the end of the year ?" i think its more about $$$ then us , really...
In worms, though, it always seemed like there was a certain anonymity to the multiplayer... and no expectation beyond a one-off, fun competition. I always kind of looked at it as playing against GOOD AI. Multiplayer is the same as single-player to me, except the enemy performs like a real brain is controlling them (sometimes! ).
For starhogs?! Yes , for worms? No, the just fixs what would have been the final release, with no new implementations, i would be ezcited for a full on version of worms 2 armageddon, like the ps3/360 version , i believe its even possible,
While it's true that I have played other Worms games and I have enjoyed them. I still would not consider myself a fan boy. I own both Worms and Star Hogs and I must say even right now Worms is a much better game. Star Hogs does all the little stuff but it's just so bland. The game itself has no character and I just could not get myself into it. I have tried and tried to really like this game... but I just keep coming back to Worms. Thats what Worms has going for it, even for people that haven't played the old ones. It has character. It has an atmosphere that just makes you smile while you are playing it because it is so ridiculous. I means it's Worms shooting various high powered weapons at each other... and their voices! They add even more too it. The controls are not nearly as bad as everyone is saying and I have not seen a single ounce of slowdown on my ipod touch 2nd generation. I actually think the only way you could say this game is a bad game is if you are one of the unlucky people who has so much slowdown that it becomes unplayable. People just had completely unrealistic expectations for this game.

I din' mean to parrot what he said or parrot this thread, just emphasising on whts coming to us soon with worms. In the mean while, let the othrs get more desprate & give away their games for free who cares ?
