Hi everyone! So, I downloaded World of Tunes thinking it was going to be an average game, but it is a very fun game. It's a lot like guitar hero when it comes to timing. On easy and normal mode, the timing with the music seems a little off, but once you unlock hard mode, everything comes together, just like guitar hero! It's very fun and addictive. There's a story mode, free play, DJ mode, and a crazy mode. There are different levels with boss battles. It's really fun. My favorite stage is definitely the urban-death-robot stage. At the end of the levels for this stage, you fight a robot. You defend against his missiles by tapping them as they get closer. What are everyone else's favorite stages? Also, the music is a mix of trance, techno, and electronic. I'd like to see some harder music, and maybe some wicked evil bosses. Maybe a Deathmetal Devil stage, or something? The rhythm is spot on in hard mode, but not so much in easy and normal modes. I guess that is why they are easier? And there is surprisingly a fair amount of action in this cute and adorable arcade game. I have also read people saying that this should totally be a game for the Wii, too. I think it is doing well for the iPhone. I love my iPhone, so back off, Wii. Follow me on Twitter.com/gunnbjorn
Hi Thorbjorn, Welcome to TA We have an existing thread on World of Tunes here (I found it using the forum's search function at the top of this page). You are more than welcome to join the discussion there. Alternatively, you can post a thread in the game discussion forum. One of the mods should be moving this thread there soon. We generally keep this iPhone and iPod Touch Games Forum for game releases only
Hey, welcome. Always great to see new users. You're not the first to make this mistake, nor will you be the last, but yeah, wrong section. You can do what Prab said and post in the existing forum, or, if you're willing to flesh your post out a little more, you can post it as a review in the review section of the forums. Be nice to see someone writing them instead of Big Albie... just go to the section, you'll see what I mean
I got to play about two stages of this a few weeks ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. The first boss battle is pretty funny. It's a large man eating plant like Audrey II from The Little Shop of Horrors. It tries to kiss you at certain points between tapping the tuneys and you swipe your finger across the screen to slap it silly. I laughed out loud oh and since everyone said it I guess I have to as well so I don't look like a jerk welcome to TA!
Fail. Haha, thanks, everyone. I could have swore I searched... I guess I just got excited I feel so welcome! haha
LOL Well, once again, welcome to the forums, and for being legitimate. You will use this account, I promise. I used to be a very minimal lurker who only watched the headlines. Now I only check the forums, headlines come second. And, yes, the search button is your friend, however unreliable it may be. Oh, and I love this game too. The music is catchy and great, the gameplay is pretty good, a nice EBA imitator, the best so far.
Great to hear Great to hear you all enjoy the game! We'll be coming up with an update very soon so be on the look out!
I just love the game, it is polished, fun to play and easier to handle when your left handed The tuney's are cute and fun to play with, the patterns are smart enough to be guessed easily and the game never cheats on you. It's hard in hard mode but it's really worth it. The game have Great bosses with a special mention to the voodoo one which is hella annoying with the last symbol to draw. The only minor issue is the crash when you try to play DJ Mode with the stageigital Wave. BTW I'm still stuck at the last boss in Hard mode, it's hella hard
Beat Rider Collides with Guitar Hero and Mario Brothers to make World of Tunes. Beat Rider Collides with Guitar Hero and Mario Brothers to make World of Tunes. This is the first thing that comes to mind when I play World of Tunes, the objectives are nice and give more depth to the game. The graphics are great! Thoroughly polished and display no sings of lag when played. Nothing is more frustrating than playing a game that has timing issues. I love this game, and the first boss does rather look like Andre II from little shop of horrors, I am waiting for it so say feed meeee, in the same voice. I would also have to say that this title has hours of gameplay, like most titles made by Com2us I have them all, It is hard to pick a favorite. Grouick: I have never had it crash under DJ anywhere on my iPhone 3GS, but then again I have not made it very far or put in enough time on my iPhone 3G.
This game is actually much too short, but it's indeed fun to play. I kinda wish it had more songs though.
Welcome to TA! Welcome to TA! There's an updated version (v1.0.2) currently in review. v1.0.2 will have 2 extra tunes.
