I have Windows 7 Ultimate, and every time I turn on my computer, a bunch of windows open up, including "Computer", "Documents", "Control Panel", and everything on my desktop. This gets a bit annoying because my computer starts lagging like crazy every time I turn it on. I've searched all over the internet and I still can't find a solution to this.

So, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Buy a Mac. :p
It's probably something in your settings where it says to open them on launch, on Macs you can do that with apps. There might be something within the actual folder also, on the navigation bar, or something like that. I know Macs a lot better than PC's. (And XP better than 7.)

    yes
Startup Delayer and Soluto are 2 options, both are very nice to help starting up your compy.

I don't have Windows 7 but on XP you just go to Run and type "msconfig" and the last tab should list all the programs that open on startup, including Messenger.

    1) Better is subjective. Some people just like Windows more. Some may like Macs. Nothing wrong with that.

    2) He was making a joke.

    3) Microsoft is the most well-known platform, is considerably cheaper, and gained a considerable amount of traction during it's first few years. It was in all honesty, a revolution, and everything just snowballed from there (until XP, at least, which was great). While Macs are great computers as well, they didn't quite have the right combination of intellect and success behind them. Also, back to modern times, a laptop running Windows is much cheap than the lowest end MacBook Pro by a huge margin. There's also a lot more software (game-wise more than anything) on the platform.

    4) You wanna talk about how Windows Mobile is a nearly dead platform? We can go both ways here.
