Yes, because lord knows all those e-book readers, productivity apps, photography and paint/drawing apps, etc. are all completely useless. Sony's already had an "App Store like system" for quite a while now. It's called PSN, and there are PSN exclusive digital download only games available on PSP (flOw, Beats, Super Stardust Portable, No Gravity, etc.), and it's been that way for quite a while now - from way before the announcement of the Go. Sony was completely half assed about PSN on PSP before the App Store showed that the idea is worth investing in more. No, still a portable game system, not a mobile platform. So while iFart apps won't be on there, neither too will all those nice photo editing apps, productivity apps, etc. Downside to going only with "notable" companies or games is that some of the "out of left field" indie stuff probably won't be found on PSP's "mini" service. And the Go is just a PSP redesign. It's not a next gen PSP (PSP2). It's a smaller form factor PSP without the UMD drive. The download only games will also work on the older PSP systems because they always have due to the fact the systems can use memory stick pros for storage (I've got quite a few PSN PSP games on my 8GB Sandisk memory stick pro). It isn't a PSP2...just a PSP...but smaller. And Nintendo's already revealed their hand: DSi, which is also just a redesign, not a next gen successor.
