I am hoping one day that we will see Neverwinter Nights ported over to iOS. I think the technology is on the level to where a port would be possible; does anyone else agree? Since it's a Bioware game I could see Beamdog porting it over. Generally I would enjoy that port over the Baldur's Gate sequels and such. I am much more fond of the Forgotten Realms Neverwinter lore.

But then again Knights of the Old Republic 2 should be ported too.

I'm also hoping for that to happen. But why don't you think it'll never happen? We've got a lot of ports already. Bioshock, GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas, we have also have KOTOR, and the enhanced edition bioware games and even XCOM EW and EU. Besides, NWN is already kinda old so i think that current gen iOS hardware can run it decently with some settings toned down

I would not be surprised if we could run NWN 2 on high settings without a hiccup on modern iOS devices, so I doubt any toning down will be required for NWN 1.

Control- and UI-wise, I believe the game would work splendidly. KOTOR especially illustrates this, and as un-optimized the BG UI is, it works well enough to show that with better UI work, a game that relies on the successor to the Infinity Engine (which is also the precursor to the Odyssey engine used in KOTOR) could probably play like a well-designed iOS original.

Now, if it WILL happen probably has nothing to do with technical limitations, or the lack thereof ;)
