Me to, I want a new iPhone with data only. I never use my phone and it costs. Not that I am complaining, but why pay for something you don't use?

Yes. iPod Touch users are looked at differently, so we will have to pay at least $10, most likely $20 for iPhone OS 3.0. Just like for 1.1.3, and 2.0.

Will the iTouches sold in stores eventually come with 3.0 already installed or will they basically be using obsolete software before you even start it up? Cause that would be pretty lame.

Since most I-touch's come with out software installed I imagine when you activate it through I-tunes it will be a free upgrade if version 3.0 has been released.
