    Seems rather odd...

    Gameloft releases a NFL game
soon enough EA releases a NFL game

    Gameloft releases a soccer game
soon enough EA also releases a soccer game

EA even gave it the same controls and name!

Has EA sunk so low that they make copies now?

    1. EA's games have been out longer than Gameloft on other consoles
    2. There aren't many ways to not use a virtual d-pad on an iPhone without using the accelerometer for a sports game
    3. EA's games have been in development since way before Gameloft's games were released

Most (all?) of EA's sports franchises have existed in some form or another before Gameloft was even founded.

What happened very early this year? Oh yeah Electronic Arts announced their titles for 2009 including MADDEN 10, FIFA 10, NBA 10 and more. Much later this year Gameloft announce their own titles.

Research your facts before going on some pointless rant like this next time

I think there's room enough for multiple versions of any genre or game on any platform. It creates competition and the drive to be better than their competitors in order to generate more revenue. The consumers never lose. It can only get better. Ideas don't belong to a single entity. Ideas have been shared, copied, and built upon in the history of history. Things can only go uphill from there.

But, what everyone is saying is true, EA Sports has been around much longer than most other Sports companies and developers out there.

Neither copied each other, they have both been in development for a while now and Gameloft got theirs out first. Its not like Gameloft released NFL 2010 and EAsaw and said hey lets put Madden on iPhone and developed it in like 2 weeks (even though the default easy difficulty seems like they did)

    This just didn't make sense

Don't you just hate people like that!

I can't believe the 2008 NY Giants team copied the 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers by winning the Superbowl. Outrageous

That's one of the stupidest thing I have ever heard, and people complain about Canadians being made fun of all the time. You're the reason.

EA has had a sports branch for decades, and sport franchises as well. Gameloft simply copied what EA did on other consoles on the iPhone platform. EA is just here to get the job done right.

And that's so ignorant that you got Hodapp posting twice here.

Why is Diablo 3 copying Dungeon Siege?!

I'm gonna put this in my sig - with the link to this thread.

Or, the better question to ask is, why is CNN copying Fox News? Or why is Firefox copying Safari? Canadian Gamer, you astound me.
