Only because most of the zombie games are a complete waste of space. If they were actually decent and worth getting.

I will never be tired of zombie anything.

Although I would be happy if someone could make one that's actually any good....

im not tired of zombie games at all, in fact im testing an awesome dual stick zombie shooter right now!

but what i am tired of is the 'virus story' syndrome-nowadays, all zombies are caused by 'a weird unknown and uncurable virus'!

whatever happened to the good ol' zombies rising from graves thing??

Because it's more realistic, and a bit more possible to happen in the sci-fi world. Zombies don't just rise out of the graves, that's why there are certain burial procedures.
Realism is the trend in the video game market now.

    Doing nothing of importance.

You bring up a good point. While I like the realism that gameing is leaning towards, I really miss the good ol' days when zombies just popped out of graves and killed everyone, or the plot was just stupidly ridiculous and would make no sense, but flowed perfectly and kept you entertained, like Monkey Island and Zombies Ate my Neighbors!. I always hear people complaining about how a game is "not realistic" and i just wanna punch them in the head. It's not always realism. Although, it does make for a creepier game in the case of zombies, making you think that there is a possibility, even a small one, that it could happen. Look at Resident Evil, now that's a pretty creepy plot. Because of experiments the town has gone to hell, and it makes you think that scientists would try something like that, because, well, they're always trying something stupid. They've almost created a black hole, what's to stop them from attempting it.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

And the stupid zombie craze still hasn't stopped!

The only thing I'm bored of is cute or humourous zombies, a la Plants vs Zombies. They're supposed to be eerie and frightening. They're supposed to be part of the horror genre but their overexposure is turning them into some kind of cartoon. If we can get back to the old Resident Evil style zombies I'll be all over it, but pretty much every game they feature in these days would be acceptable for a 3 year old.
