Thats true, but considering you can see it shoot of spread of shots that seems very unlikely unless its a new super shotgun that shoots multiple full sized bullets in a spread Deadly...
You can do all three with ease and more. Have you put any time into gameloft FPS's? also, ur control scheme wouldn't work. what would you do if you just wanna hit shoot? plus, you can already adjust button placement, and I believe you can do the where ever ur finger is in MC2 (IDK how but I saw a vid with somebody doing that... it was just them pwning but I noticed the joystick).
Doomsday II: Legions of Hell is a good Doom clone throwback that just got updated with tons of free levels packs. The controls aren't as tight as NOVAs but if you're into FPS and nostalgic you can't go wrong with $0.99.
wow a lot of feedback, thank you guys, aside from a couple sad trolls that still think touch controls are an issue XD i agree with a lot of you, bfbc2 was buggy as hell and the controls are sluggish but when you fire the weapon you get a nice feeling of power, which i personally don't get with nova2, and i do miss scoping so i'm gonna go for MC2, looks simpler and better than RS imo, although DS is not and FPS is one of my favs, but don't get me started on capcom and its excuse for RE :S imo NOVA2 and DS have both excelent console quality campaigns.
I have MC2:BP and BF:BC2 and I tried NOVA 2, but I'd have to say the best FPS for me was Eliminate Pro back when it was popular. The controls are much smoother and the gameplay was a lot more dynamic than the others, albeit gear were imbalanced.
Well, I'm working my way through the catalog from nova 1 and up but i have to say it was an adjustment. First time i played NOVA I felt the controls sucked and deleted, mirroring the comments above. Then i got the itch, downloaded it again, reorganized the controls and repositioned my fingers and BOOM, ios fps love! It really does seem to require an unconventional approach-it aint all thumbs anymore-to Get the hang of the controls I'd be curious to see how everyone "holds" their iphone/ipad and finger placement.
well i can adapt to any config, and i think that controls for iOS games are so tuned now, that with gyroscope i consider them to be even more immersive than console games (some of them). i like my buttons at the corners so i have good room to aim and look, but i also like gyro very much, what i do hate, is AUTO-AIMING, that has to stop, only matches don't need skill if that thing's on...
Okay, so after reading this thread I went back to Bad Company 2, which i was unimpressed with at first. Now I'd have to say it is by far the best control scheme....not being tied down to a fire button is beautiful. I look with my index finger and tap/fire with my thumb. Are there other fps that adopt this scheme-left side walk/right side look/tap anywhere to fire? Now I will say that this is now on an ipad and I'd have to agree with the sentiment that fps just arent as good on iphones. By the time you get three fingers going, the screen real estate is used up. On the ipad however I'm finding there's plenty of room for the fingers and still be able to see what's going on.
FPS MC2 NOVA 2 Rainbow Six Archetype Contract Killer Contract Killer Zombies TPS Shadowgun 9mm Shadow Guardian Gonna try Silent Ops again....looking forward to MC3,MUSE,and Six Guns.
Silent Ops is the probably the worst popular shooter you'll ever play on the iOS. It's absolutely terrible and not worth the time it takes to beat. What's worse though..the multiplayer..oh boy.
FPS Doom Marathon 1 Nova Nova 2 Battlefield 2: Bad company Playing FPS on touch screen gets some getting use to. Both Nova 1 & 2 have good controls for modern FPS, but for me you can't beat Doom.
MC2 Nova2 Rainbow Six If I were you I'd get MC3 which will be out on the 27th of October, just check it out yourself, I think you'll like it
I've only just got round to buying Modern Combat, brought it in the recent Gameloft sale along with 9mm. Crap or not, I'm not going to complain for 69p!!
