* Trainyard: This is simply a superb game! No race against time, or tapping at the right time and any of those things. Pure, pure logic based puzzle. These are the kind of puzzle games I love. And some of the levels (especially the bonus levels) will really get you scratching your head. Trainyard express is for free, so you can check it out. * Iced-in: This game too is all about logic. It is sort of like sokoban, but here when you push, the target block skids away till it meets with an obstruction. Really nice twist, with a lot of challenge. * Sokoban: Always the classic. I have one which has the original 50 levels. It's for free. Other puzzle games that I have played on iOS tend to be too simple to be fun. Cogs, Boxed In, Psychoban, Saving pvt. sheet, etc. etc... are all very well executed games... but the puzzle element is not challenging at all.
You made me dug out my BOWEP. Nice memories. Chuck's Challenge by Niffler (free on app store) is developed by the same guy who created Chips.
I'm late to this thread but I thought I'd add my own favorites because I'm a big fan of puzzle games on the iphone... Aqueduct Beyond Ynth Denki Blocks - I had it recommended to me on here one time when I was looking for good puzzle games, and it was really worth it. Perfectly designed. There's only one puzzle in the whole game I haven't been able to get by. Anyone know the one I'm talking about? Pathpix Puzzle Platformers... Toki Tori Edge - not very puzzling, but it's fun just driving that box around, listening to it flip over Babylon Twins
I'd say GravBot. It's not super hard, it's just nice "Edge - not very puzzling, but it's fun just driving that box around, listening to it flip over" I agree, I love Edge!
At the moment I'm working my way through Helsing's fire and like it quite a bit. I did spend alot of time playing all the major puzzle games while making Chuck the Ball (my entry into the genre) so I have an infinity for them. I have upwards of 300 games with probably 50% being puzzle games, so it's hard to keep track At the moment I've these on my iDevices: - Cut the Rope - Cogs - Edge - Helsing's Fire - Landformer - Implode - Beat it - Jelly car (1,2&3 - "classic") - Spirits - Toki Tori - Unblock me
So far on my device: words free pirate go land-a panda spot girls doctor agency bubble buster smarty pants chicken escape swivel forget me not
Jelly Car,Cut the Rope are my fav puzzle games. Recently fond of and spend most of time with are: Shift 2, The Blobs(It's a new game, I took a promo code and installed. Pretty good and very challenging)
Here are the puzzlers that still remain on my iPhone because I can't bear to delete them: Tiki Towers Helsing's Fire Lumines (still abit of usability issues, but the style and music are unbeatable) Eliss Puzzle Prism (almost as enthralling as Lumines) Cut The Rope Bejeweled 2 Chu Chu Rocket Timegeeks
Probably it's cut the rope. It is centered around a brilliant mix of realistic physics. It's not as simple as it looks.
Cut-the-rope bejeweled solitairre Walkabout (shameless self promotion - see my signature ) Some of these physics type puzzlers like cut the rope are really good fun, but i prefer total logic puzzlers myself.
Do you really think a spam bot would get up to 326 posts without someone noticing? He just loves that game.
