Downloading as we speak :) This is packed full of much more than I expected from a hidden object game. It has the obvious "find-the-item" objective, finding the object that fits the outline, matching a pattern, and even finding differences, which is my next favorite type of puzzle/strategy game for the iPhone. This should satisfy my sweet tooth for a while haha. :D

Ive played a few, on the PC... i dont know why they sell so well, theyre ok, but theyre not really deep enough to base a whole game around.. they would fit more as a mini-game in another type of game, really...

They sharpen your senses and your recognition for details.
Another thing I need for my job.
And - these games are very relaxing.

Everest: Hidden Expeditions and Stone of Destiny are two of my favorite iPhone/touch HOGs. I just finished playing Nick Chase: Detective Story, though, and it is my current favorite, despite the cliffhanger ending, but it errs more and more toward adventure.

This is the perfect platform for these types of games, I've always felt that. And I mean the entire genre of adventure games (of which hidden object games are actually a subgenre). Games like Beneath a Steel Sky to Everest: Hidden Expeditions to even something like Soul Trapper (audio adventure) "fit" the platform nicely.

Where is Kojima with Snatcher and Policenauts? I actually wish MGS: Touch was more along those two games (adventure games with instances of light gun/gallery shooting).

Everest: Hidden Expedition, Stone of Destiny, Nick Chase: Detective Story, and far too many to list.

There are Lite versions for Everest and Titanic, so be sure to try them out before purchasing the full versions.

me too! I was doing a little bit of research on these games and i was wondering why you only have to find objects and sometimes the objects in the picture are unrelated to the topic ! so what's the deal with that?

I think there is great potential in these types of games though to expand with an added intellectual level.

If you want a really relaxing game, I beta tested DreaminGame's app "Game Wave". So far the first wave (game) is outstanding :) Every month it updates to a new one so you get a new puzzle game. Check it out:
