Hey,all these suggestions really help me too. I only own a few platformers for iOS (Soosiz and Chop Chop Ninja) and hoping to get a new one. And because I'm a sucker for cute pixel art, I guess I might pick up Frogatto or Pix'n Love Rush. C: Thanks guys!
Aeropack, Babylonian Twins, Giana sisters, daring raccoon, dark void zero, hi how are you, all the series of toy bot and spy bot
B-but I only like cute pixel art. They look s-scary. D8 Hehe, actually I just prefer the one my sister will probably play it too, and the cheaper one.
Cute pixel art platformer? Gotta check out Lars! Super Action Danger Lizard. Great for kids. My second grader loves it. (But then... I'm the dev and he helped me make it. So he's a little biased.)
I am a platformer FANATIC!!!! Here's some that have been on my iPod for a while, and will stay on my iPod til it's pried from my cold dead hands!!! Miss Claire Garden Phoenix Spirit Lars - Super Action Danger Lizard Grokion Undead Island ^^ these have some metroidvania aspects if not pure metroidvania style... I just beta tested Elemental Rage, and that will be added to that Metroidvania box I've got on my iPod as soon as it's released... FREAK'N GREAT - keep an eye out for it! now onto the others; Sonic 4 Sonic 1 Sonic 2 Mega Man Blade Of Betrayal iDroidsMania Plushed Hoggy MaXplosion Rayman2 (3D, but still a platformer...) Soosiz Pizza Boy Ready Action Castle Of Magic Spy Bot Chronicles Frogatto Chop Chop Caveman (this CC game actually has touch controls instead of TILT ONLY) Shadow Candy - Sugar Rush Super World Adventures Hooga Giana Sisters Black Tie Adventures Illusia (more RPG Platformer, like Maple Leaf) Pix n' Love Rush Raynium Iron Commando GravBot Cookie Quest Juz and the Missing Guitar Picks Ecco (not really platformer... but is always put in the platformer genre...) =o/ Shift Shift 2 Babylon Twins Hollow EP1 League Of Evil Family Guy Time Warp South Park Mega Millionare (tilt controls...) Hoggy (Tilt controls) Toy Bot Chronicles (all of them... if you like tilt controls...) Ghost n Goblins Grimm Robo Rush (I keep it on my device with the hopes that they'll fix the HORRIBLE controls...)
I dunno if you like 8-bit retro stuff... but if you do... Super 8-bit Santa Man. Retro Adventure Planet One - The 2D Platformer There's also some free retro platformers... Bob's Adventure Croco Kong Unicorn Keep Grizzley's Adventure.... And I forgot to mention Aeropack earlier... but that was already mentioned, as was dark void zero - but there's also Flickitty. - if you like "flipping" your character from platform to platform searching for stuff... =oP if you search "platformer" in the appstore, you'll get quite a list. =o) **edit*** AHHHHH Alien Abuse or Abuse Classic... I forget which one is still in the appstore...
Well, although my sister is 20 years old and not a kid I think she will likes this! But I've already bought Frogatto so Lars and Pix'n Love Rush will be next on my 'cute pixel art platformers' list after we've done with Frogatto. C: Thanks userfume for the thread, I think I've abused it enough.

Oh yes, I have played it for a while now! I'm still at IVATA (did I l write it correctly?) level 13. Level 11 is haaaard. XP Or maybe I'm just suck at it. Hehe, it's quite lovely though, and the costumes is neat idea!
Heh. A kid at heart then. Honestly I've been pretty happy with how many platformers are finding their way to the device. Hoping the trend continues and we eventually see the ability to load apps onto the newer AppleTV's. Can you imagine?
