cause dude, the clones gameloft develops are some crappy version that wont stand the comparison 1 second if they face the original. they're mediocre games for mediocre people with a poor view of gaming. also this has nothing to do with big or small companies. how many independant 1 man made games are some crappy random clones? there are countless of these. on the other side there are tons of popular iphone companies with original ideas. inspiration is ok to me, clonage is not. that's all.
Someone expressed a reasonable opinion and you call them for that? *shakes head* You might not agree with it, but it doesn't stop that posters opinion being valid. People aren't saying console quality titles shouldn't go to ipod, they are saying such titles shouldn't be blatant ripoffs. When people speak of originality, they are speaking of of it in that term. Just look at Nova. Gameloft aren't even bothering being subtle about it, anymore. Is it so hard to create their own world, art direction, and so on? Half-hearted... Chinatown Wars was in development for over two and a half years, and it shows through its quality. It is one of the highest rated games of this gen and the best rated portable title of this gen. It isn't a spinoff, IT IS GTA. The atmosphere, the mechanics and what makes GTA fun is all there. Plus, it "bombed" on the DS and not PSP (it is currently being ported to PSP). At least get the original platform right before you remark on a title. If you want MH, then get PSP / Wii. To ripoff Monster Hunter (its mechanics) you need the controls for it. You need controls for movement, camera control, and six action buttons. That's what MH needs in order to be what it is, so what's the point in a ripoff if it cannot reproduce that?
A Moto GP or SBK type game. It is the one type of game that I have been waiting for ever since the App Store was launched. Oh well, at least Asphalt 5 will have a couple motorcycles in it.
Well, they ported Assassin's Creed from the DS a while back, so I think that would own if they ported the upcoming PSP version.
