Ocarina of time!!!!! gameloft can port absolutely any game that has ever existed... as long as they have consent from the company which made it. having said that, i cant think of any game that should be ported more than zelda: ocarina of time !! if gameloft would just ask Nintendo to allow them to port it, and offer to split the profits like 50/50 or something, they would GUARANTEED both make countless millions of dollars. they could easily charge $10 for it (I would personally pay $50 for it ) and both companies would profit immensely. PLEASEEEEE gameloft, do the right thing and go ask Nintendo for the right to port zelda: ocarina of time!!! would make me so happy!!!!
I know the thread is titled with "port" in it, but who really cares if it is a direct port if you get a similar experience?
Seconds on Oddworld! Anyone remember Blasto? or Medievil on playstation? There's an old school games called Sinistar my friends and I used to play at 7-11 at midnight on saturdays. Anything NES aint gonna happen. I'm thinking of trying Earthworm Jim. Has anyone tried it?
gamelooft NEEDS to make---Pokemon, ocarina of time, Left for Dead and MONTER HUNTER---if the origional comapnies do not partner with them i would still probz invest in a rip off pokemon or monster hunter would be mad as--if they did it right
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and also while not a retro game (but a game made to look like one) I would LOVE a Cave Story port.
The only thing they could do is to make a clone as Nintendo WOULD NEVER give the rights to one of their games to ANYONE! Especially their main titles like Zelda and Pokemon.
lol why would Nintendo even think about selling one of their games to a direct competitor? They are trying to sell Nintendo DS which all their games are on. If they also had all their games on iphone why would anybody buy a DS?
It's unfortunate thing is that Gameloft could never do Symphony of the Night. Seeing as Konami has the rights to the game, and they have their own iPhone divison. Also, Gameloft and Konami have never worked together as far as I can tell. The LAST thing that Konami would do is let Gameloft make one of their games on the iPhone, therefore taking their profit. They're still making money on it through Xbox Live Arcade (I hate not having enough points to get it... I'm only 3 bucks worth short too...). If you have a PSP, I suggest picking up The Dracula X Chronicles, since it's cheaper and has the full SOTN, as well as Rondo of Blood and probably one or two others as unlockables. Unfortunately, for the reasons I gave above, we won't be seeing Metal Gear Solid, or even the original Metal Gear, and I DON'T want Gameloft doing a clone right now, since they'd kill the best part of those games - the story. That said, the one game I'd really like remade that Gameloft COULD get to is the original Rayman. I loved Rayman 2, but the original was that much better. But seeing as they now make PS2/Gamecube era games, I'd love to see something like Ghost Recon 2. Sure, that game is extremely hard, but it's really fun, even today. Speaking of game companies and ports, I'd really love to see Koei make a name in the App Store. If they could port just ONE Dynasty Warriors game (excluding the DS/GBA ones), I'd buy it in a second.
