or maybe they make their games and don't tell us about them until a couple weeks before they release them. And they are the best since u didn't say that anybody is better, u just said that they have "faster" games.

I'd like to hear that argument made in a courtroom.

i agree with the first part....

like mc:s they claim is supposed to be like CoD (bullcrap), and blades of fury is SUPPOSED to be like soul calibur... cant they come up with anything original?

    Gamevil is where it's at.

Don't get me wrong, I like gameloft, but they just make clones... High quality clones; I just feel like all their games lack personality. They need more TLC in their games.

Yes because war FPS are all original .

Gameloft IS the best developer right now on the iPhone. That is if you take into account the amount of games they have and the average quality of them. You can't say Firemint is the best developer when they have only one game. It's like saying Polyphony Digital is the best PS3 developer because of Gran Turismo.

Zenonia is a port of a mobile game with not so good controls (virtual pad) and hard to navigate menu. They could have very easily improved that on the iPhone version. How's that different from what Gameloft is doing?

Their games have personality... I'm well aware they are ports, but what I'm trying to say is that I would play a gamevil game over a gameloft game any day, and I own 8 gameloft games so I'm being honest.

its that everytime i play a gameloft game its like im playing the same one over and over... like i played terminator and BIA and you play through it once, and then a harder mode comes... I dont want to play through it twice theres no point and no replay value...

Almost All indie developers could make gameloft quality ames if they had the budget and manpower gameloft has. Give illusion labs, firemint, Com2US, etc $100,000+ for the game budget and 50 new employees the could make MC:S or Gangstar also

There's a lot of indie devs on XBLA and PC that get bigger budgets and still flop. Gameloft's strength is the ability to push out stuff of a certain quality in numbers.

The only thing I wished they would do last year was update their games. But if they continue putting more work into games as they have been doing for the last couple months, then we'll get games that DON'T have to be updated.

Average quality being... one game I'm slightly interested in? They've basically done Modern Combat and Gangstar... everything else is lower quality. You don't see them coming in here every day getting feedback and suggestions either, if there's one thing that makes me respect an iPhone dev it's when they get down and dirty with the players.

I agree man. Gameloft has ported a few good games, but they have not released any games that really use the iphones capabilities. I like to see originality. I think Chillingo and NGMOCO have got to be the most ingenuitive. Therefore, I would say I prefer these dev's as they actually talk and respond to the people here in the Touch Arcade forums. Just my opinion guys, dont attack me.

Also, Gamevil has released some cool RPG titles, they deserve a higher ranking.

The best Gameloft game I played was Brain Challenge. It had personality, and was really suited to the iDevice. Most of their games generally speaking feel like soulless money spinners IMO. I'm sure I'll get mowed down by some for that comment, but hey! They are the supermarket of mobile games for me, churning out stuff that looks great on the surface but...
For me they are the carrot on the end of the stick that leads to nowhere. They promise stuff that actually, I just don't want to play on a tiny little iDevice.

Chillingo is only a publisher, and almost half of their stuff is useless garbage like translators and dictionaries. Of course, I'm not saying that Chillingo is bad, I'm just saying that Chillingo is just a publisher and do none of the developing.

As for ngmoco, I don't like them at all. Sure Rolando and Rolando 2 are great but that's it. All their paid games have ads in them (WordFu, Dropship when it cost, Topple 2, Dr. Awesome, etc.). I mean... really? I didn't pay whatever amount of money to be confronted by ads for their games.

I don't know, as for most innovative it would have to be Illusion Labs no question there. Gameloft has to be the company that produces the most quality in their game. Sure they have a whatever budget for their games, but they execute well and manage their games well. Press releases are exact; neither too early nor too late.

Conclusion: Illusion Labs and Gameloft are the best developers in the App Store followed closely by Gamevil and Chillingo.

Um, aren't they the ones PUSHING the iPhone's capabilities? And what the hell does originality have to do with pushing capabilities?

Truth to that, I have a dev friend who spent months to develop a 3d fighting game for the iphone but his hopes are crushed after seeing the new blades of glory vid. Now he is posing as a poster and flaming on gameloft lol! Sorry mate, you will remain nameless though!

Gamevil? I agree Zenonia is a great game but what does it remind you of, does it remind you of a hundred GBA rpg? Isn't is a clone too? If you hate clones then you must hate zenonia as well... to go furhter what does Rolando remind you of? how about the upcoming touchpets? Is it not a high quality clone as well? And Real racing? is it original as well?

In erratum its not in good argument to say that ngmoco, firemint etc are better than Gameloft because all Gameloft games are clones....that will be hypocrite!

    Slaving peon.
Not here; not there; not anywhere!
I've tried a number of Gameloft's games, but I've only bought Guitar Rock Tour so far - I like my rhythm games. ;) Dungeon Hunter might be the second for me.

See now you are talking about same GENRES, I'm talking about blatant clones . How many times has gameloft games been considered to make a CLONE and I'm sure many people can agree. You've heard "Hero of Sparta is the iphones God of War" "Guitar Rock Tour is the iphones Guitar Hero" "NFL is the iphone's Madden" "Gangstar is the iphones GTA." Even their new titles we have already heard this: "Dungeon Hunter is the iphones Diablo" "Blades of Fury is the iphones Soul Caliber" It gets annoying that they keep making CLONES.

Also, Have I played games like Zenonia? Yes. Are there RPGs better than Zenonia? Yes (In fact The Quest is the best RPG). And whose says I'm just talking about zenonia? Baseball Superstars 2009 is one of my most played games... why? Because it is original. The also just submitted Hybrid: Eternal Whisper and it looks fantastic.

The main point I'm trying to make is that although gameloft games are well produced (after all I do enjoy their games). They lack life and personality; their games always feel empty to me. Even the gamevil games (although ports) have more life in their games (not to mention a great deal of content).

I also know that what I'm saying is a matter of opinion, so there is no need to point the finger on who is being a hypocrite.
