I have tried Zenonia on my friends touch as well, and didn't enjoy. . .does that man I should sway away from Inotia 2?
I know its opinion, but I'm just interested in how opinions can be so different. It's amazing that one person thinks its great while another thinks its terrible.
Honestly I would compare Dungeon Hunter more to Neverwinter Nights before I would compare it to Diablo.
Dungeon Hunter is almost nothing like Neverwinter Nights. Perhaps the only similarity is that the characters have stats and levels. And that's pretty much it.
I actually agree with this. Although I felt it played more like the Champions Of Norrath games for the PS2.
I would say Zenonia is the best RPG to have as a first one. CoI2 is a great RPG, but it's a little complicated. Seed, is really pretty hard if you don't know what you're doing. All three are awesome, but CoI2 could be overwelming, seed would be too hard, and although Zenonia is the weaker of the three, it's the best choice for starting on.
Both awesome. One flashier and shorter, one deeper and longer. Can't go wrong either way...and if your gift card is for enough, you can get both!
Ravensword is cool, its isnt your tpyical RPG, its more adventure oriented, but theres lots of combat etc
I havent bought it yet but ravensword looked really cool if you are looking for something differnt like an adveture type game.
Agreed! If you want an RPGish iPhone game.... GET RAVENSWORD!! It has really cool graphics and it's a very fun adventure and just recently had an update. You'll probably love it seeing as almost everyone that gets it loves it!
Right get Ravensword if you like a boring game with realy great graphics even if the game itself is just boring it atleast looks great Both Zenonia and Seed suck bad dunno with one is the worst tho My advice would be to start with Inotia 2 or with Undercroft both are great games
Ravensword would be a great game to be your first RPG! Then, step up to the more RPG-Based games after Ravensword.
Try Yipe 5 if it's your first time. More casual and you can get a feel of the genre and actually have lots of fun before plunging into the heavier ones.
Zenonia when I first played it was only decent while Inotia 2 was a total blast from the beginning. My opinion is that they're quite similar, only that Inotia does everything waaaay better. There's more to character development, more classes to choose from, more room for strategy, everything. Still, if you hated Zenonia totally I wouldn't say you should try Inotia 2. Ravensword I think might be a bit too much for a beginner. Personally I think it doesn't fit on such a small screen. I wouldn't recommend it. Dungeon Hunter would be a nice game, but when you really look at it you find a game mechanic pretty similar to Inotia and Zenonia. All those are more of a Diablo-like action hack and slash kind RPG's which I generally don't like, but have grown used to them because there isn't much else for iDevices. A bit different games with turn-based battles would be Elven Chronicles and Vay. I think most people here will say those two are way worse than anything mentioned before. They're both more of the old Final Fantasy styled games.
This can't be further away from the truth. Even the developer admitted that his game Ravensword does not have much RPG qualities, it's not even considered an RPG. It's a walk-around-and-explore game, similar to Zelda, but with much much less to do. I would not suggest getting this game at all since I made the mistake of getting it, and deleting it within an hour.
I don't understand why everyone says Zenonia sucks, imo it's a good rpg for the price. Obviously A Wanderer of Luone and Ravensword are much better, but it's not bad by any means.
