    Is this a priest in a straitjacket? That could be a cool type of 'caster' unit. The voice for that could be epic...

    to the end of this month - for sure ; ) because I'll loose the game name on itunes, it was registered on autumn, and ends at the end of Jan : )

    Buildings and still standing units could use animation. Just as terrain...
    And a techtree would be cool so you get better units every campain level. Looking forwards to progression although if i check the latest videos i doubt its worth my money. I mean, the intro should already be kinda epic with telling the storyline about the factions and why they kill each other ect.
    And well...i hope like i said on alot more units and alot more animations.

    Hi there,

    As I said we will have something to the end of the month. I released a lot of games and got enough experience about that. So we discussed with team and decided to release the game when it will be polished, with complete and great campaigns and so on.
    I would like also to use all advertisement ways, and not just place the game on store and wait. So sorry, but this time i'll not listen players about "when? when? submit its asap! can't wait to play!" : ) I want to submit a game, that will be BEST RTS game on all mobile markets. To make that happens we need really great players support: purchases, reviews, feedbacks. So I as I said before I'll try to use a lot of advertisement ways.
    First of all I've created a tool that sending newsletters to signed up emails. So I'll upload a lite version (alpha-version) of the game (1 custom map, 3 races to select) to web-site at the end of next week, and you'll be able to play the game if you'll sign up for newsletters (by entering and confirm email). This newsletter subscription will be informing you about new game releases from SplashFoxGames and major updates on existing games. It will not bother more often then once or two per month. In this way I'll be collecting players database and it will be easier to highlight news. Markets are very saturated and this time its not kind of bathroom game, great talant people helping me with the game, so I want to reward everyone with what they deserve.
    As I said before we're using most cross-platform engine currently exists, that supports win, mac, android, blackberry, iOS, web and about ten others, and will support even flash in nearest months.

    Looks great but the way the building are it looks like they've just been dropped on the landscape where I'd prefer some of the land to come up and fall around the building or rest against it so it looks like it was actually built and not dropped there.

    thanks for the note, yes, especially for hi-tech race it looks little strange,
    I'll think what I can do.. I plan to make buildings appearing like at Dune 2000 - so its coming from the ground and particles of the ground crumble around building and disappearing. There also was an idea to make hi-tech building staying in air from a player.. I also think its about ground. Currently game scrolls about 3 screens left/right and 4 top/down. But I plan to use really large maps later, so Im trying to keep the ground as big tiles, which are repeating, and all other stuff will be on layer over ground - like some random trash, parts of vehicles, buildings etc. I was also thinking about oil-rivers.. so it will be a layer over ground and it will looks as "3d", will be little animated. Actually I already have most of the overlay stuff, will polish the ground soon.

    The amount of detail in your buildings are truly amazing, keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing more units. :)

    i can work with you. im a ex programmer. i dont wish to help you program, but i know all about making a RTS balanced and working out okay. ive played almost all RTS games in the world and was part of a programmer on a project like 4 years back.

    Question: is this RTS going to be a game where to point click building stands? or is there a building time...?

    hi, thanks, i'll upload lite version on web site after weekend, and will be glad to hear ideas you'll have,

    buildings logic:
    - you have a lot of free space on map where you may create a building
    - only mines (of uranium and metal) must be placed on specific places (marked visually as source of uranium or metal).
    - building time will be displayed on bottom game panel for buildings and units, then you can drag and drop the icon onto map (its changing from icon into full building image). Building will appear from the ground, like growing up in a second or two
    - units will be appearing near buildings, maybe later they will be "coming out from building" or for example "crawl out out from swamp".

    I'll play with units and gameplay little bit more, and will upload demo to web-site and will share link when its ready ; )

    hopefully we will finally have an RTS that we can keep coming back to.

    Are there upgrade trees for building and units?

    for initial release only units will have upgrades, and with way like War Craft (or similar) has - units can upgrade themself based on experience that they're gaining in battles (like changing weapons from easy to heavy or bullets type etc), so you can't produce a powerful unit directly from a building, you'll need to boost him in battles (but sure there will be few cheap units to discover map and they could die very fast). But generally units will be not like meat - you'll be in need to keep good strategy to have them live as long as possible, then you can re-organize group or repair and use another strategy to attack, because Bases will have really great defense value, it will be not something you can come from a side and destroy in one minute with few tanks (like in Star Craft with using max upgraded tanks : ).
    Sure I want to make best RTS game for mobile platforms (and not only), but it will take a while to implement all these things, so for now I need to go with what I have - the sets of buildings (6 buildings for each of 3 races): 1 main building, 2 for producing units, 2 mines (metal (ore) and uranium) and 1 building for researchs (for units, to unlock stuff they can upgrade on themselfs).
    Most of units are in development phase, but as you see buildings are ready more or less, and we have ready great epic music and a lot of sounds (thanks to Lawrence Steele from Satsuma Audio), and currently Im also implementing the news sign up window (enter email -> confirm -> plat the demo), so on these days I'll collect everything together and will highlight it. Sorry for the delays, I know it past few weeks without much updates, but it was Christmas time and now progress will go much faster, and I'll upload the demo very very soon, just will complete basic gameplay, so you'll be not just placing building and producing units, but will be able to fight with an enemy : ) Thanks for keeping interest on the game, I'll do my best to make something really fun and with great replay ability, so it will be keeping you so busy, as your favorite PC strategy games : )

If any issues - you may send an empty email also to [email protected] and I'll send you the link in "custom mode" - once will receive it, generaly - at Europe's day time (GMT +2)
    Once you'll open the web page from the link - it will ask you to install engine-plugin. If your antivirus program will start to worry - you may try to download the plugin from official web site:

    also this will means that your email will be added to database and you'll be receiving news from me (Splash Fox Games) from time to time : ), sure with posibility to turn off the subscription later.

    So I didn't get chance to implement AI and some battles/interaction with enemy to the end of this week, and for now you can just create buildings and units from any of the 3 races (select campaign button from race select screen, then you may exit from the game and try another one). As always Im always promising more then I can handle :( I'll try to promise things I can really handle in future :) But I'll add more gameplay features soon. And as you'll see from the demo game - most of things are done. Btw: Use twice click and drag to select unit(s) and single click/drag to scroll around map. And build mines (uranium/metal) first - because you'll not have resources if will spend money for other buildings : )

    Hope you will like the progress, not much there, but its what i have for now : ) Im handling most of stuff: programming and 3d art, so its really hard to work with it and with other project at same time.
