STORY: The Glass Road is a 150-mile long path through the Bavarian Forest near the border to the Czech Republic in Germany which was one of the biggest center of Glassworks and Brickworks in the 18th century and now you can become part of this world in this game.== THE GAME == In Glass Road, you will produce glass and bricks and collect wood, clay and many other resources to build buildings and create your own landscape. To accomplish this task, you will need the help of a variety of specialists. You have to choose 5 of them in every round but when choosing your specialists, try to anticipate which ones your opponents will choose to use your own more effectively. So carefully choose cards that you think no other player will choose to use them more effectively, but also choose some that you think will be played by other players to benefit from that as well.== PEOPLE ==What people said about the board game:"This game is amazing! How much depth and how much consciousness there is, tide in such a small, tiny, fast, elegant game!" /Rahdo/"Glass Road is a very deep and engaging euro that offers you a wealth of deep strategic and tactical choices and very little luck in a very short and elegant design. I would go as far as saying that there is no other game that I have played that achieves these levels of depth in that short of a playing time." /F. Liouville - BGG/"I started to play more and more and I realized all the subversive strategies in this game!.......In fact, from the Solo experience I really do enjoyed this game!" /Tox - Crits Happen/"If you’re a fan of Uwe Rosenberg’s other titles, get this game. If you like having many – almost too many – strategic choices to make in each turn, get this game. If the production wheel concept intrigues you, get this game. In short, if you want a good, fun, medium-weight Euro-style game add Glass Road to your collection." /Walt Mueller - boardgamequest/== FEATURES ==- Single player mode- 2 & 3-4 player mode- Easy and Hard AI opponents- Online 2 player mode- Online public and private rooms- Pass and Play mode- Tutorial, rule book and cards & building reference- Original board game graphics- Optimized for iPad 2 and above- Detailed scoring at the end of the game- German language support- iPhone, iPod optimization== UWE ROSENBERG ==Uwe Rosenberg is an award-winning German game designer. It's not bad, as there is a lot there. Generally the UI is good, there are a couple of quirks. - there are lots of play modes including solo, two, three or four player and online each of these has a slightly different play style due to the card laying element where other players cards affect your turn. - there is a text tutorial followed by an interactive tutorial which doesn't fairly good job of taking you through a couple of rounds but it doesn't really explain the thinking behind the choices, more just the actual steps you can take. This is probably true of a number of more complex euro games, so don't let that put you off. I usually watch a Rahdo plays YouTube to get me started on these games anyways. - once you are stuck into the game it's great fun it doesn't take long to pick up or I can see it's going to take a while to master. Games can take approx 30 mins for 2 player against AI - sadly you can't save your games at the moment so if you close the app that game is lost, also I've read says multiplayer games games is lose connection or the iPad goes to sleep. Contacted support about this and they said they're looking into a number of things including iPhone and saves so hopefully they're coming soon (The email I sent responded to in under 30 minutes which is good which gives me hope) - at the end of the game you get told who won and it shows total points but in the complex game with quite a bit of breakdown of points sources it would be nice to see more info . All in all I'm very happy to get another Uwe Rosenberg game on the iPad - the app is better than Rails and Baseball, not quite as polished as Brass and Patchwork.... But the game mechanics are great! so I recommend Dragan Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 365 7 18 Belgium #11 Dragan, Mar 14, 2016 Are there stats, high scores? I just bought the game and didn't even beta test it!? I deleted and reinstalled twice and got the same result. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
