My review I just submitted: US Warfare: First Encounter is a tasty mix of strategy, tower defense, rts, elements from Trenches and side scrolling, all packed with action and some fresh ideas. If you are familiar with 2012 Zombies vs. Aliens then you can jump right into the action of US Warfare without wasting your time for going through tutorial, because the game mechanics is pretty the same. In this game you have two campaigns the alien campaign and the US campaign. Apart from the obvious differences like the appearance of units from both sides or weapons they use, you get some tactical advantages from each side of the conflict as well. Some units inflict bigger damage against certain enemies, while they have poor defenses against some other units. The battlefield is divided into three lanes. You can place your units on one of these lanes by tapping on it and the created unit will automatically advance to fight the enemy. Many kinds of infantry and heavy units like tanks and stationary artillery, plus sandbags which provides cover to two of your units all of the above features make this game a great strategy - TD experience. It will take a while to complete the 116 of campaign levels, and with Game Center and Openfeint integration you can be sure that getting through all the levels and scoring all of the achievements will take some time, so in terms of value for money US Warfare is a great deal. When it comes to overall visual and sound experience all I can say is solid, well made, with a good amount of polish. I was positively surprised when I first saw the menu screen and all of the cartoon looking characters. The in-game animations, explosions and sounds are all really well done. My only suggestion is to add an option to retreat so the units could run for cover or wait for reinforcements when they are outnumbered by enemies. This could create a lot of new strategies and ways to win (or loose) the battle, and could spice up the game a bit. Summing up - US Warfare: First Encounter is a great, solid, simple, clever, action packed, fresh strategy experience. One of those games you just have to try if you are looking for some good entertainment.
Attention soldiers! An old veteran has a question - will this contest ever gonna see the finish line? Thank you for your cooperation. Keep your weapons in a tip top condition, that's an order scumbags!
Hoping for a promocode as well. What if this could be real? What if an invasion could be on the horizon. What could I do to prepare?? Practice, practice , practice!...for that I will need a promo code. I mean, right now I don't even know what an alien dog looks like , let alone a death wizard but with a code.....with a code I could learn what they look like and find out what their weaknesses are! I know I shouldn't but I keep getting dizzy while holding my breath anxiously waiting for a PM with a code. Please.....send.....soon....
