Great game! I have tried US warfare: invasion which is awesome!! I could not wait to try the fresh new one -- First Encounter!! Could I have the chance to have a promo code? Thanks!
The game weve all been waiting for 5/5 (One liner -->) US Warfare: First Encounter is what you might call a mix of Trenches and The Sentinel 3. Its a perfect mix of real time strategy resource management and tower defense gameplay all in one. US Warfare is what you could expect if a game like Trenches had a baby with the Alien movies. It has that great Trenches like gameplay, but with the added human vs alien theme. It also adds a tower defense element that now seems like a necessary piece to this genre. Gameplay: You start out by tapping on one of three lanes with which to send out your soldiers. This is very similar to Plants vs Zombies, except your defenses can move. As you send out your soldiers (or aliens), you take over construction sites where artillery can be built. These are placed sporadically throughout the map very much like the sandbags. Using these to your benefit is the key to success as some of the later levels can get quite challenging. The sandbags that I mentioned earlier are used as cover for your soldiers much like the trenches in Trenches. In this game, however, the sandbags only take up one row (of which there are 3), which allows for unit staggering that can be quite helpful. Any soldier knelt behind a sandbag will have increases attack and defense, this is crucial to conquering the many alien scum coming your way. Getting to the sandbags first is key, because once the aliens get there, youre a sitting duck. Each sandbag can cover only two soldiers, so any new soldiers that reach the sandbag will simply hop over into oncoming fire. You can lock or unlock each sandbag, telling your soldiers to either wait at that sandbag or to just hop over when reached. You can also select each sandbag and select which units you wish to hop over at any given time. At either side of the screen, each faction has a central turret that must be destroyed to finish the given level. These are much stronger than normal turrets and take a lot to take out. Units: There is a kind of rock paper scissors mechanic in place where certain unit types have greater attack or defense against other unit types. The rocket launcher types have greater attack against artillery, tanks and planes, but they are also weak against those types. Regular infantry have greater attack against other infantry and greater defense against artillery and tanks, but they have poor attack against the heavier units. There is a great deal of strategy involved in this game, some of which I have yet to uncover. Content: The main campaign (both human and alien) contains 116 levels spread across multiple states, each with a certain number of cities to take over. You start off with the human campaign and must unlock the alien campaign by finishing approximately 50% of the human campaign. There is full game centre and open faint integration, each with 50 achievements. Each level is randomized with fairly good AI, so it wont feel the same even though the level setup is the same. There is the promise of new maps and a skirmish mode to come, but in the mean time, the campaign will take a while to get through. There are 6 soldier, 2 vehicle, and 4 tower types included, each with very unique abilities that all feel very different and each being quite necessary. Each unit can be upgraded up to 5 times with cash earned during play. Cons (just a few): There are a few bugs, none even close to game breaking, and some lag, although you can play with hi or low res graphics, but if open feint and game centre are disabled, the lag is much more manageable. Dont expect your game to be ruined by the lag as it usually happens after you win the level and game centre or open feint are saving your score, but it is noticeable. The game has crashed a couple times, but it saved my progress each time and never crashed in the middle of a level. Conclusion: All in all, this is a very fun and very well made real time strategy game for only $0.99. The music, sound effects, and voiceovers are all very well done and sound great. The graphics are charming and detailed. Gameplay is solid. This is a great game for the asking price and deserves some recognition. Go buy it before the price goes up! P.S. This really is a great game and I've been playing it for a couple of hours now. I also submitted this review to the appstore a moment ago and this, along with the opening one-liner are my entries for the contest. I hope I win

Seeing the number of responses on this thread makes me think that requesting a code is now moot... (but maybe not ) At first glance this looks like you've really taken the ZvA concept to the next level. Looks awesome! Congrats!
