I was lamenting the lack of Introversion titles on my iPad very recently. I hope they drop by here to read comments, because I want to say thank you for bringing it over! What a great treat this morning. I've loaded it up, and have to say that they nailed the touch interface. The game itself is brilliant. Utterly awesome game/experience. Absolutely love what Introversion do, one of the very few companies that can code in 'atmosphere' and is a perfect companion to my iPad. Bought, played, loving it. Just yesterday I was lamenting that there is no Defcon, or even a suitable Defcon clone for iPad. I shall buy this solely because I hope to encourage them to bring other games across. Also looks groovy. Might never have heard of it but I'm sure I'll get a kick out of it. Developers really need to get this "can only work on a larger screen" cognitive block out of their minds (In particular in the case of Uplink which, with some clever UI work, would be superbly suited for the iPhone.) Comassion Well-Known Member May 23, 2009 258 0 0 #9 Comassion, Jun 7, 2012 Awesome. What a sweet surprise. Instabuy for me too, brilliant game. I remember getting caught when I found a bank account that was too good to be true and set up a lengthy series of wire transfers to myself. I thought I was so clever, but a couple days later someone kicked in the door... Can anyone who's got it give a run down of where it departs from the original functionality? DEFCON! pjft Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 1,082 8 38 #16 pjft, Jun 7, 2012 Sanuku, Thanks for the video. How are your impressions so far? I have a question here: in the video, from 4:55 to 5:15 the screen flickers a lot. Is that a video artifact, or does that happen in the actual game? If so, does it happen frequently? It's kind of hard to read with the flicker. I'm so going to get this as soon as I get home Dreamshadow Well-Known Member Jul 19, 2011 54 0 0 #17 Dreamshadow, Jun 7, 2012 Does this support the multiple displays that the PC version did? That would be a great bluetooth/wifi feature! Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #18 Sanuku, Jun 7, 2012 Last edited: Jun 7, 2012 Hehe. That Flickering was me trying to find out what to do next and I pretty much pushed a few Buttons at the same Time and the Game did response with nothing. Since that Flickering is only a few Seconds each Time you won`t see it on your iDevice but it would show up in a Recording since the Framerate the Game runs and the Recordings is created are different. You are welcome. The only thing I do miss is a Computervoice that does read those Letters/E-Mails similar to the one in the Launch Trailer otherwise the Game is perfect and even do realize when you do a Mistake and don`t just crash or drop to the Desktop like many, many other Games during the Tutorials. pjft Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2011 1,082 8 38 #19 pjft, Jun 7, 2012 Ok - I trust you. If my screen flickers, I'll be hacking into your servers using my Uplink gateway, be prepared Sanuku Well-Known Member Jun 14, 2009 11,954 4 38 Austria http://www.touchgameplay.com #20 Sanuku, Jun 7, 2012 Last edited: Jun 7, 2012 I wouldn`t worry to much about it since I know how some Stuff is created in the PC Version so you won`t see that Flickering ever in the Game (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
