I also think that this game had a gigantic impact on gaming. Having myself put over 200 hours (or much more) into Elite on my C64 and later, Amiga, I always loved it. Anyway, I played this one when it came out many years ago, but I prefer much, much more Stellar Horizon, a new Elite clone that appeared in the App Store a few months ago. It's being updated constantly with improvements and the dev is really active in these forums. If you're into the original Elite-kind of games, then you should check that one too. The people who own the rights are sometimes a little strict about Elite clones. I'm not sure if that's the reason for it not being listed, though. Do you like playing it with touch controls?
