ugh The new store tries to look modernized, but it doesn't. Very bad planning, hard to see descriptions. Probably get used to it, but idk.
It's good in my opinion, just that the place for the description is very small, the "Description:" title is almost taking more space than the description itself, and is actually not really needed, people could asume that the text following the app title is the description, on the device it's not showing "Description:" either. The new look actually more resembles the look on the device...
It is not good at all. Specially for devs. Nothing on the new style promotes the game. Everything seems to be hidden. For customers, it is not user friendly. Bad move.... Cheers, Bruno
we updated our descriptions to show more info in the new layout. it did not change by much really. there are some advantages for the end-user, and i guess thats the most important thing that counts right?
Did anyone notice that "Tell a friend" has been moved to the down arrow beside the Buy button. It has "Share on Facebook" and "Share on Twitter" in that same menu, which is cool. But, I worry if people are gonna notice that if they don't mindlessly click on stuff, like me. My biggest concern about the new look is that it takes up a lot of horizontal space. It's clipped at fullscreen on my laptop screen.
I think it looks alot nicer, and uses the available space better. Headline is up the top, which is really the most important part of the description anyway, and the icon and screenshots are much larger. It does make it harder for apps without appealing graphics, but the flipside of this is that it encourages appealing presentation.
I must say I do not like the new app store look. I may just be a freak but I really liked the way it looked when they made it in 2008. I thought it was much easier to just sit back and browse for stuff. The only way I ever find cool stuff is clicking the news link from here. I don't find myself just clicking through hundreds of apps hoping to find something cool anymore. Oh well! Also, yeah, I think the huge screenshots are way out of place.
well sorry, but thats wat i waas told in America training 101. but, i still havent gotten used to this view!!1
Meh, looks not as slick/polished as Apple usually makes their products. I think it's more functional though.
