Twistris is a block falling, colour matching, combo busting, countdown style puzzle game for all ages.

Ok I know, I can already hear you thinking...
dear lord not another color matching game.. this has been done to death..die!, how dare you use tris in the title...where are the frikkin zombies! you killed my puppy! etc etc.
Now weve got that out of the way, I'd like to show you my take on it.
it plays better than it looks from screens.
Here are some from the latest version:-

I'll post up a vid when ive sorted the effects.

Inspiration came from puzzle fighter ( multi combos ),bit of tetris ( block drops )and the desire to make a more arcady color matching game for all ages.
just coming up to alpha on this and thought id better put up a post before someone else does something just like it... <looks about sheepishly>
I'm going to try and make it free with some in app purchases, you know.. pirate / zombie / doodle modes... a token 'making of' so you can support it if you like it.
if we can work out the in app purchase system, which looks a bit over complicated.

By the way any beta tester out there thats badly colourblind or if you know anyone? let me know as ive got a colourblind mode planned for it.

    Thanks for looking.
    Robin.

Added colorblind mode, which should be good for those of you that cant play color based match 3's because of devs lazyness.

added a redrop button which redrops the blocks randomly as a way to give the player the option to easily find more matchs at the cost of time.

anyone who fancies testing this... as first version is nearly done let me know.

Im trying to resist putting up crap like.. most addictive game ever and the best match 3 game ever etc... but i may have to .. to get some interest.
I apologise to those of you that find that sort of thing annoying.. but.. if you cant beat them .. join them.

ill post up a vid this week.

It does look interesting and short of being paid to play it, free is a damn good price.

You have to be careful with using "-tris" in block-based games. I don't know the specifics, but I do believe this could get you into trouble.

While not as blatant as the 'tris' saga... which was a direct effort to cash in on the game as well as the name. and didnt have a leg to stand on.. despite the dev being convinced he could win the case if he had the money...

the twist part is ok. its just the ris bit that could be the problem.
but thanks for the heads up.. apple get jumpy around these sorts of issues.

though doing a search in itunes store comes up with plenty of other games with tris in the title.
like 'matchtris', some jokers really milked it with 'a pumpkin tris', 'a crazy monster tris', 'a gem tris' etc...
theres 'trispin', 'texttris', 'mattris', '3tris' so .. i may wing it.
funnily enough the big one doesnt appear in that search.

edit: heres a quick cap of the game so you get a better idea how it plays.
