I used to play it a lot. The thing is as you keep going the amount of time you need to spend on per day keeps increasing. It's fun, but the only way to really play is to get into an alliance and eventually you will be playing over an hour a day but spread out over several sessions a day. I used to wake up in the middle of the night at 3 am and think 'well, i'm up, this is a good chance to get in some travian.' eventually i drew the line and gave my account away to someone else in the alliance.
I know what you mean. I drew the line last time I quit, but now I'm back at it. The same thing will probably happen again.
It ruined my life... i had a nice large powerful alliance but when there are ppl playing every second or accounts with 3 or 4 ppl controlling it, it becomes impossible. I played for maybe 2 months 2 years ago.
