I'm going to throw my vote in for Dungeon Defenders. I really enjoyed a bit of Infinity Blade, but that has really worn thin now after a handful of bloodlines imo. I really do feel the "Dragons Lair Punchout" comparisons aren't that far off, not to trash the game. A new Dungeon might make things interesting, but I'm not sure about the Multiplayer for that one. Dungeon Defenders: First Wave however, will easily be the best game on my iDevice once they patch a few things. I honestly feel it's there already, faults and all. It's just great fun to play if you avoid GameCenter and online...lol. And that isn't the developers fault. When you have extremely critical people like myself still playing Dungeon Defenders and lavishing it with praise, even with the issues, there is definately something special there. All these casual games that win, like Angry Birds and such, To me those are throwaway titles, albeit much fun while they last, but they don't last long. Fine for a 99c game, but those kinds aren't ones I come back to daily for a long time. I see myself playing Solo Dungeon Defenders for a very long time, and once GameSpy online hits with the next patch, I'll be there for online play. And once the Arena/PvP hits, I'm sure that will be a total blast as well.
Okay here's mine in no particular order. 1. Game Dev Story 2. Lego Harry Potter 3. Cut the Rope 4. Aralon 5. Pocket Frogs
Along with Jon Cybernet - well, welcome to the forums. Glad to see your first post was here in this thread about a game I am not sure many of us heard about. So inspirational I guess for you all to join and post at once!
I'd like to vote for... Pocket Frogs Space Invaders: Infinity Gene Galaxy on Fire 2 Aralon Plants vs Zombies
On my iDevices, I usually tend to love the casual games more so you'll notice a bunch of those in my 5, but mostly I just wanted to nominate the games that have kept me coming back for more this year, because that's really what it's all about. So here they are: 1. Hurdle Turtle (2.0 FTW! So addictive, love the retro) 2. Cut the Rope (I mostly play the HD version if that matters) 3. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 4. Pocket Legends (Even without having paid for IAP, I still come back for more time and time again) 5. The Incident (told you I love the retro! awesome connectivity features between ipod and ipad)
I already picked my top five in a previous post but kenfusion reminded me that I also need to add Dungeon Raid. Perhaps this game could go under the category of "Best Game that no one has ever played, Lost in the Shuffle, Hidden Gem, ect"
How to pick 5 out of SOOO many great games that were released this year? XD Anyway, these are my 5, in no particular order. I struggled hard to pick them 1. Infinity Blade 2. Cut the Rope 3. Sentinel 3: Homeworld <--this one need some love. 4. Chaos Rings 5. Dungeon Hunter 2 I do love Game Dev Story and Phoenix Wright, but they are both ports from other systems, so...
1. Kosmo Spin 2. Cut the Rope 3. Tilt to Live 4. Fruit Ninja 5. Monster Dash There are many, many other great games but those are probably my most played ones. The list changes often though.
These ones are the best! 1. NOVA 2 2. Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus 3. Galaxy on Fire 2 4. Fruit Ninja 5. Archetype 6. Tilt To Live These are the games that changed iOS gaming forever. Please add them to the poll... they REALLY deserve it!
Pix n' Love Rush has only been mentioned twice. Honestly it should easily be in the top 5 games from this last year. It really was the perfect pick up and play game that I sunk countless hours into. Solomon's Boneyard!!!! Seriously GREAT game and can't believe that it hasn't been mentioned yet (I at least didn't see it glancing through all the lists) Prince of Persia: Warrior Within another fantastic game that has not been mentioned at all. Dark Void Zero - again a game that needs to be mentioned
1.)= Modern Combat 2 2.)=Call Of Duty Zombies 3.)=Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars 4.)=Real Racing 2 5.)=Shadow Guardian 6.)=Fruit Ninja These are my Top 6 Currently Playing: +Asphalt 6 +Real Racing 2 +Shadow Guardian +Modern Combat 2 (Online my username is USMC_iBoss) +Need For Speed Hot Pursuit +Zombie Womderland
Infinity Blade my pick goes for Infinity Blade for such addictive gameplay, YOU are the one who really controls fighting
Here's what I think are the Best of all 2010... 1. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars- An excellent, exact port of a huge, immersive crime action racer thingy. 2. Space Miner: Space Ore Bust - Another early-2010 game, a well-written, humorous space adventure. 3. Plants vs. Zombies - A port of the uber-addictive, innovative defense game. 4. Infinity Blade - The most detailed graphics on an iPod ever, it's great to look at however SHORT it is. 5. Super Mega Worm - An absurd 2d game involving an apocalyptic worm eating all of mankind. 6. Chopper 2 - Surprised this hasn't been mentioned. A popular helicopter game, shooting and rescuing people. 7. Super QuickHook - The second installment in the hook series, this fun adventure-secret-survival game improved on the Hook Champ formula. 8. Magnetic Shaving Derby - A game too weird to achieve mass popularity, it involved using a magnet and razor to shave a man's face while picking up wacky power-ups, catching penguins and dodging bees. 9. Zen Bound 2 - One of 2009's most acclaimed games was followed up by its sequel, Zen Bound 2. With about the same relaxing gameplay not found anywhere else, it is a revolution in crisp 3d graphics and atmospheric sound. 10. Kometen - It's a super charming indie art game, not for the hardcore gamer but for ones who can appreciate artistic displays on the iPhone. You are a lonely comet, flying through space, learning about life...
