How GTA has so few votes is beyond me, as it is afull blown, excellently executed port. Sad to see that IB has 4 times the votes...must be the recency factor. Disappointed.
Well, this poll seems pretty insanely biased. A two horse race just became a two horse race for second. Oh well, it was to be expected, given Aralon's massive "upcoming" thread. The actual product though, I'm not sure what to think of. It seems to have a lot of potential, but it's still lacking a few pieces. It's just an average game to me personally, with a lot of content (albeit lacking in a few key areas: e.g. a deep skill tree), great graphics, and average/below average interface. RR2 is a complete game, and all that's going to come of it in the future are bonuses (granted, bonuses, that affect the gameplay immensely). Infinity Blade is still missing a huge part of its gameplay: multiplayer.
It's not really biased, the numbers don't lie. 35 of 145 people think Aralon was the best game this year. A poll can't be biased, the creator maybe, but it seems he did it fairly.
How could you compare the best racing game to the best RPG to the best FPS? It's kinda "Which category do you like better" rather then which game is better.
I agree, Aralon's votes seem to just be building on massive fanbase that judge the game as what it will be in the future, and not the state that it's currently in right now. I'm not saying the game is bad, but it's just not as polished in terms of bugs, performance and gameplay compared to the other choices on the poll. Come on Infinity Blade!
I'd say this poll means more people that are voting prefer RPGs than racing games. All the games are good or they wouldn't be on the list. The only true way to determine TA goty would be to make everyone on TA vote on the last day of the year.
There must be some kind of infraction involving these useless " +1!!!!!!1" posts. If not I'd encourage people to show their support for another's post with the gift of silence.
OMG! Aralon SHOULD NOT WIN. I'm sorry, but it is SO boring. I mean I regret buying it, and I usually love all apps. Just because it's open-world it should win? Ravensword is EXACTLY THE SAME. This app isn't even in the top 50 paid or grossing! Tilt to live and Fruit ninja were so fun, Infinity blade was awesome, and MC2 and NOVA 2 are the best apps I've ever bought. MC2 should def win! Ok, so this may be TA game of the year, but the TRUE games of the year are GOF2, RR2, MC2, NOVA 2, IB, Fruit ninja, Tilt to live, and many others. Those apps changed iOS gaming and made it fun, but Aralon is just overhyped and changes nothing. And I usually LOVE open world games. It's just not right if Aralon wins, copying every RPG before it. Oh yeah, and Zenonia 2 also deserves to be GOTY- now there's a real RPG!
Obviously, due to the large amounts of Aralon fanboys/fangirls on these forums. I'm pretty sure the results would change a LOT if we had a larger demographic.
Hmmm, so looks like the games just released are dominating the poll... so it seems to be a favourite game at the moment poll as opposed to game of the year
As is the case with any poll. Like I said before, the only way to find the true TA User GOTY would be to poll every member on the last day of the year.
