That doesn't amaze me too much. After all, premium games have the unfair advantage of allowing a developer to focus on gameplay and not on monetization. So while they're not as profitable as the slot machines known as freemium games, they will gather the most attention amongst the real IOS gaming community due to their inherit superior design. The other parties you mentioned are simply trying to maximize profits, which as we all know has nothing to do with quality or artistic value.
Oh great, just another post about how great premium games are and free games not. So if you just play free games you are not a REAL gamer? Unbelievable. I would just say you dont like to get screwed by the developper who drops the price after a few days to free!
Nah, I just like games that don't get bogged down by greedy monetization schemes. And yes, if you ONLY play free games, then you're definitely not a real gamer. And of course there are top notch free games as well, but those are the exception, not the rule.

The only real flaw in FF7 is how the touch control UI doesnt look at par with the game's quality, but the fact that the FF7 classic gameplay is here in all its greatness without anything cut out makes this an easy 5-star title to me. Hence... My vote.

Yep, same for me, but i'm gonna penalize Pac-Man (that will hurt them ) for still having upgrade timers after being my second expensive game, ever (MHFU is on top).
Good point! I just voted for Horizon Chase before reading your post. I was weighing the two games and couldn't find fault with either until you pointed that out. Both are totally awesome and I can see myself playing them for a very long time. Getting ready to do the GotW posts now. And... Done What a great week!
Thanks for posting the reminders :-D I went with Horizon Chase in the end because while DotE is an amazing port, I love the idea of a dev releasing a premium racer on mobile first. All that and Top Gear is one of my all time favorite games.
