Does anyone know the actual date this was submitted? I don't want to keep checking iTunes like an idiot if it was only just submitted a week ago. Also, I am not sure if this is allowed (linking STP), But I found a 'Preview' write-up for Totemo http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/totemo-hands-on-preview
I am excited about this game. I wish they would release this and why is it taking so long for them too approve it. Come on apple So many good games but none getting released.
I know, there are 5 games I am waiting on and a Lexic update which is taking forever. I wish the approval process could be re-designed internaly by apple management.
I read on one of the game sites that it was submitted September the 4th so I would have thought it would be out.
I know that. I found a couple of videos on the game. No news about when it will be released. Looks like Apple is taking its time on releasing the good stuff.
Wow, that would be extremely pathetic if this was submitted on the 4th of Sept. If so, That would mean it's probably been rejected and the developer wasn't properly notified. I have heard of this type of thing happening where a few developers actually had to get in touch with Apple after 6 or 7 weeks of waiting, only to find out the game had been rejected weeks back. Then had to fix and start over again. Sometimes Apple makes my blood boil - especially when they reject for little nonsense things, where all these app-spammers can get through no problem, creating games with reference to Copyright figures like (example) Sonic and Mario - almost as if the guys at Apple never heard of Sega or Nintendo. Heck, My 1 and a half year old daughter would even pick up on that. I think there needs to be a fix for this - If Apple needs people to remove one line in the game description for example, they should have a hold period of a few days where the developer can re-submit and they can finish the review process. They also need to tell developers ALL of the problems at one time. I have seen them reject and reject again. Sorry to turn this into a thread to be critical of Apple, but they need to remember who is buttering their bread and be a little more considerate.
I know how you feel. This it one I have been waiting on. I sent the Dev an email on the 11th of oct and he says it is still in review with apple. They have another that they are submitting. I think that Apple is mean they put stuff on here I would not let my child see much less play. Then if they did reject this game that is nonsense. Have you seen the video it is great and I have seen a couple of reviews on it. The reviews where very good. Also waiting on Touchpets and Plushed.
Thanks guys for your kind words. I've some bad news though. We have received a rejection notice from Apple today: Upon review of your application, Totemo 1.12 cannot be posted to the App Store due to the usage of a non-public API. The non-public API that is included in your application comes from the CoverFlow API set. The funny thing is that Totemo is not using any non-public API. The cover-flow in our gallery is implemented using our own OpenGL code, it just looks similar to Apple's internal cover flow. We use the same gallery in all our Android games for some time. I've described the situation to Apple, re-submitted the game, and kindly asked for an expedited review. There is not much else we can do ... their store, their rules.
Wow, my hatred for them is building red hot. Words can't describe the feelings I hold for the app center. They are rejection-happy of course, EA got the tiger woods update through and their update doesn't even work. I sense a little bias. I just wish they could be a bit more consistent with their decisions and a bit more professional if you have been using your own code before and it's been noted, there is no reason they should put you back at the front of the line. That's just abusive power. My heart goes out to you guys though. I have so many games to play, but your trying to make a living. This app store wouldn't work without developers, you guys are more responsible for this wonderful plethora of gaming than the people who buy them. Apple just basically promotes the store and collects big pay. And I don't want to confuse Apple with these thick headed power starving jacka55es that say yes or no. Sorry, I'm just letting off steam. That makes 5 things rejected in the last few days that I have been waiting for. I even sort of predicted a rejection earlier in this thread. Best of luck, I will support you when totemo is released sometime next summer, if they get around to it by then
I hate Apple for doing this. They let the stuff on here that should not be on here and turn this down.
I have been waiting a while for this game, is there any update to resolving the issue? Obviously you werent able to get it expadited through the system. Is Apple making you completely change it? Whats the good word Hexage?
Yeah I have been wondering when this would come too but it hasn't even been 2 weeks since the resubmition so just wait tight till then
I sent them an E-mail they seem too think it will be approved this time. Not sure how long it will be though. Hopefully soon.
