Edit: In response to Skyyes post: Hes right. And yes, 8 votes now. Working on genres and other stuff now. Sway and bounce on (one more vote) will be put in. 33rd division: The problem is I havent played it so I dont know how good it is...
Oh yeah... I forgot about Vay. I played it once, pretty boring. Elven Chronicles deserves a spot for being the first GOOD one then. And Brothers in Arms was to me the first REAL game in the AppStore. It came out shortly after the store opened and it really showed that shooters could be done on the iPod well. Cube was cool but unfortunatley every time you tried to put enemies in a level it lost so many frames. Either way Bros in Arms definetly deserves a spot for being the first GOOD shooter, and proving how well they can work on the platform.
Oh yeah, let me put in a vote for Bounce On. Great platformer and one of the only games my sister will play, let alone beat. Plus it was a load of fun for me to play. So yeah let me put in a vote for that.
Consider my vote for peggle Totally yes for Sway and Bounce On See if you didn't play it how can you make the judgement? Its definitely a subjective list if you are the final say - OR make a list like Camzy does and ask for votes and then you tally up all the votes. But for like 50 all time favorites I think that would be too hard and too many opinions. Its a nice project though. What if in a week everyone hates Eliminate? Or what if in a week the NEXT BEST game comes out? Its just too hard to keep up to date with that imo. I suggested a couple games early on in this thread too but I guess they weren't keepers.

Yes I am the final say but I am taking everyones feedback on the games. after im done honing out the basics i'll ask questions (is real racing or asphalt 5 the best car racing game? do they each deserve a spot? etc) as well as the opposite: lots of people dont think such in such game should have been added; ill delete it from the list. The list is awlays evolving. Even if eliminate is hated after a few weeks (which probably it wont) it should own a spot on the list as the first good working online multiplayer fps.
Torki tori will be added Orion? never heard of it. Why do you think it should be added? Can you give me some reasons?
Wow. I've played 6 from that whole list and don't feel I've missed anything . I would add Dizzy Bee from the very early days - pretty sure I didn't see it in the list. I would also consider Up There! and Bobby Carrot Forever. Looking through my apps list I wouldn't give Classic status to any others. I might try with Subway Shuffle - in fact I think it's the only game that has been on every install on my iPhone - but I think it's a bit niche. OIC, option - is being replace with -*, how inelegant.
Are these just the games that have been released since the OP got his iPod Touch?? How in the world are some of these games considered "classics?" iDracula? Minigore?? Just-released Eliminate??? If you are serious about coming up with a list of "classics," you need to include games like Trism...or Tris...or any of the other true classics. Am I the only one who remembers the excitement and awe when Aurora Feint was first released? Now, that is a classic! FYI, there is a big difference between games that are "classics" and games that just generate a lot of short-term hype...
I think App Classics has been able to compile a pretty good list of the top 50 classic games, I see a lot of apps already mentioned in this thread: http://appclassics.com/games
