I'm done with the first 4 cases, so I can give a pretty detailed opinion if you want, but a good story and good game mechanism isn't enough with a crappy port (and bad graphics for my taste).
I know, I know . I thought it was a waste until the update. I see great potential in Voice Fantasy. If you get your loved ones to create a character it's nice always having them around. It reminds me of my youth. Stupid game only worth playing 5 minutes a day but I truly lose myself during those 5 minutes. I believe all iPod games should be pick up and play. I got a DS and PSP to play longer and more in depth games. For that reason I try not to buy games like EL and look for more Infinity Blades. Thanks for being nice to me .
I'm newer to Ipod gaming so can't give a top 10 yet but here are some I'm really enjoying so far that haven't been mentioned: Soccer Superstars (How has this not been mentioned yet?) Knight's Rush Undercroft (RPG, free) 180 (color linking drop down puzzle) Puppet War (FPS comedy)
That's enough to said all, the only comparison point you are using is wow. You can't compare a Western RPG to a MMORPG, yes remove multiplayer to wow and it's a WRPG crap, no need of Oblivion to know that. Yes through console release, one of the first release on console of a major Western/PC RPG series relatively modern. That hits many young console players and produced on them a strong impression. But well when you have play other Western RPG and not only Morrowind then Oblivion is a very unpleasant RPG. I don't think it worth suggest you increase your knowledge of Western RPG, the problem is you could be too young to enjoy or those games could be too old now because video game tend to be dated relatively fast and at a point only fans of a genre, like RPG, can enjoy. Well if PC Gamer and Gamespot RPG reviews are your standard, again it said all. All RPG fans or mid fans of Western RPG know their reviews of WRPG worth nothing. Also the date of 2007 is a little strange as Oblivion was released in 2006. This year and the two years before Oblivion got the luck of no great Western RPG. NWN 2 was good but disappoint too many players because of a high linearity. And Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was noteworthy alas it was full of bugs at its release and the dev/producer bankroot few after. But 2007 is the release year of The Witcher and NWN The Mask of the Betrayor, two hugely better and much more interesting Western RPG. And if you want comment about storyline and writing quality, you should play them both before.
Infinity Blade Skies of Glory Espgaluda II Minigore Red Star Rage HD Call of Duty: Zombies Modern Combat 2 Tilt to Live GTA: China Town Wars The above aren't necessarily my favourites, but if I could only keep ten games on my iPhone, these would be the games I'd choose.
I'm more of a casual iPhone gamer and I hate spending money so a lot of my games are either free or as close to it as possible. One game I haven't seen mentioned yet is Pocket Legends. I LOVE that game. I'm only level 8 so I haven't needed to buy anything yet. I hear the later stages in the game are paid content only so I'll probably find another game to take my #1 spot when I get to that point. Pocket Legends Need for Speed Undercover (Got it for 99 cents. I wouldn't pay $5 for it) Asphalt 5 (Also picked up for .99. Not a crowd favorite but I really like it) Rage HD / EliminatePro / ArcheType / waiting for NOVA 2 Angry Birds Veggie Samurai (A great and free version of Fruit Ninja, if you like that sort of thing) Edit: Apparently, Veggie Samurai is only free for a short while due to it being featured on appventcalendar.com. I really like Orbital, too, (I only have the free version) but I don't know if anyone would put it in their Top 10 with all of the other great games out there. I also downloaded Red Conquest but I haven't had a chance to learn it yet. I hear it's one of the best (at least the best free) RTS games. Best and Free are my two favorite words so I'm anxious to play it.
Do you guys think dungeon hunter 2 is more like torchlight and diablo in the sense there arnt any side quests or things to do otherthan the main story line and repetitive dungeon crawling or. Kre like some of my favorite games ever wich are divine divinity and tonanlesser extent beyond divinity in the sense that you can do side missions, upgrade a wholenlot of ways and equipment, among other things?
mine would be tony hawk pro skater 2, angry birds, touchgrind, modern combat 2, cod zombies, jet car stunts, cut the rope, idracula, sway, rayman

/Facepalm He compared it to WoW. I responded. In my 20s and working in the game industry. Long history with MMOs and trad. RPGs. Done alphas/betas, joined top guilds, been in world-first kills. Don't know how much more "perfect demographic" you can get to evaluate this kind of stuff. 0_o As for only fans of RPGs being able to enjoy certain games...they loved Oblivion. Wierd, because the "RPGFan" review (sounds like they may be...gasp...fans of RPGS...) sounded a LOT like the Gamespot / PC Gamer review. Same problems, same praise, same mega-high score. Not too unusual. Sometimes takes company's a while to pump out a GOTY edition. IIRC, Oblivion GOTY included the additional expansion content - very likely that they stalled the release so they could include it. Doesn't the dearth of fantastic western RPGs make Oblivion *that much more* of a feat? And NWN2 was good (I avoided Bloodlines). Didn't play Mask, DID play The Witcher (apparently the brand is coming to iOS?). Even though it had the advantage of being released a year and half later (an eternity in this industry), it didn't grab me (And it didn't even grab fans of the genre, either). Pretty sure that the enduring source of support for games like this flows from pubescent boys who have been given the option to bed virtually any woman in the game (yeah Mass Effect, I'm looking at you). That's not depth though - that's pathetic pandering (and patronizing) your customers. But it worked.
I can only answer for Dungeon Hunter, but I answer more for the repetitive dungeon crawling and lack of side quest. It's weird you quote that because the big weakness of Divine Divinity is to fall into repetitive dungeon crawling. Some parts of Divine Divinity are great RPG but it's dungeons and it has many, often too big, are quite under the average quality and often repetitive. On this point of view, dungeon design, Diablo 2 is a lot better. And Torchlight is also a lot better in this area than Divine Divinity because the fights design is hugely better making its dungeons quite more fun and less repetitive than in Divine Divinity. I won't make the comparison with Beyond Divinity, which is only a fairly good RPG quite less good than Divine Divinity. For the lack of secondary quests it makes me wonder if you really played Torchlight as there are a lot more secondary quests than quests for the main story. That said, Divine Divinity can't be compared to Torchlight and Diablo 2. On some parts it shines on features that just doesn't exist in games like Torchlight and Diablo 2. For coming back to comparison, Dungeon Hunter 1 is definitely in Diablo 2 and Torchlight 2 category and hugely inferior. I have hope DH2 is significantly better than DH1 but I'm waiting the ipad release.
Lol this is a tiny detail of The Witcher and just smiles and that's just what you remember from it. Yeah 20s ie 21 so 16 in 2006 that's what I guess. If you had a bit more years in your back you'd look at this from a larger point of view and would not give more importance than it worth to this, that's just series of smiles, but it's not kind humor easy to catch for many teens. And yes MMORPG but MMORPG are WRPG crap but perhaps one or two and certainly not wow. But ok that's fine, anyway there isn't one truth, obviously we don't share the same about Western RPG. EDIT: And more than rpgfan which is just a name I suggest you check http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/ It's not a forum with mass of posts everyday but you can't quote yourself as a RPG fan and not know this forum. And once you are here I suggest you check this thread: http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=727
In no particular order: Space Miner: Blast Dead Rising Infinity Blade Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus Call of Duty: Zombies Rage HD Sentinel 3: Homeworld Zen Bound 2 Reckless Racing Fruit Ninja
Ouch it hurts when I look at my own list I could want post here, there's many games released the past 4/5month. On another hand I'm not that much a newbie and have long and relatively large point of view on gaming in general and there's quite many in your list I really put an attention to play them but didn't found them that good and they are probably the older in your list, Eliss, Canabalt, Edge, Enviro-Bear 2010, Labyrinth 2, Kometen, and well I know their fame and agree they totally worth a check, but I didn't found them that fun. But all those was worthing a careful check even if at end myself I didn't enjoy them enough. So I'll definitely check the few other in your list that I still haven't try, Touchgrind, Beat It!, Geodefense (in my wish list since age), Call of Duty: Nazi Zombies, Phoenix Wright (I already have it but haven't yet found the time to play it).
