    Oh my god so true.

That's why I quit playing after I got to the big station in the centre of the universe (or whatever)

I didn't want to waste my time mindlessly running around for large periods of time between bits of the story trying to find the right person to speak to.

heh, there is that too, I'm just opposed to the idea of using a guide in the first place.

Limbo looks UNBELIEVABLE. Very short though, with no replay value, so I might not drop the cash

I've only seen screens, but Limbo kinda looks like a lot of indie flash games... so those alone aren't very convincing. Maybe a video could prove otherwise.

I'm up for something short as I've got very little time from next week, with starting my new job. I can't say no to that beautiful style.

    Perv, why do you care?
It's a lot better than getting permanently stuck, as long as you don't read it while playing through the game.

Whenever I go to my Gamespot, they always have it so you can buy the game then the guide for 1/2 the price. Why not buy it?

Blacklight: Tango Down is quite cool. I have it for PC but it's also available for X360. Needs some things patched though..

I agree, that part is bad. As soon as you get into the story, it's lovely.

Oh and I've spent 8,5 hours in Oblivion. I'm flaming too much, haven't played it for a while but I'm actually doing a quest atm. Gotta pray at like 12 weird spots. I have it for my PC btw.

Mass effect really owns IMO, eventually you'll be able to do stuff with weird powers (depends on class) and that's awesome. Lifting stuff in the air, it's like the force unleashed, but BETTER!

It feels like a washed up version of MW2. The visor is cool, but the environments are repetitive, and the controls feel, I dunno, like I'm swimming instead of running.

Exactly, especially in more in-depth & non-linear games. Also, in puzzle games(like Zelda, not Professor Layton).

Oh no I agree, if you have been really stuck for several hours, a guide can relieve the stress and get you going, that's fine. I'm just opposed to playing a game with a guide open at your side every step of the way. Completely defeats the purpose of playing IMO
Because half price or not, google is free? Plus guides are lame, IMO.

    edit:
Yea agree that Professor Layton would be retarded to use a guide for, but Zelda is 1/4 puzzle game sometimes, unless you really hate the puzzles, a guide would be just as bad I think. It's not like they're particularly hard in Zelda games anyway.

Ok! Of course! The Water Temple is just a A to B line.

I prefer a guide if it something special. IE: RPGs & OW games.

I never would have beaten the game without the guide there...

Ow, let's nor forget Phantom Hourglass main temple. Quit playing for a few days & you're screwed(even with a walkthrough w/o pics).
