Can someone give me a explaination on why I should get the XBOX 360 Slim? Cause $449 isn't cheap and Im kinda on the fence on whether to get it or not.
Apparently the RROD issue has been fixed, which is the best reason I can think of since it means your Xbox won't just melt in 6-12 months time. Plus it's got the wireless adapter built in, so that saves you $75. Oh, and a bigger HDD.
A gallon. All of the games were in like new condition, with original game cases and manuals. If you paid me $60 for the Orange Box now, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank. So $60 isn't still a great deal...maybe it doesn't make you feel bad spending that type of cash, but I feel like shit for buying a $60 new release. I usually just wait for $10-25, and I feel good about my purchase.
It was actually £40, I was converting to $ so I don't know if that's your normal price for new releases, but £40 is normal for us. I buy every game I'm hyped for the day before release, I've got no problem paying full price for games I really want because I can afford it Occasionally I miss a few games because they weren't eye-catching enough, those are the ones I wait for price drops on.
Ok, Ive realized that mah xbox hardrive is probably unfixable, so I have a few questions. Does anyone know if Microsoft will fix it for free or is that just when it rodr (my hardrive unformatted itself and all my datas lost)? Also does anyone know if they can transefer the data t a new hardrive or not? And finnaly if I lose all my data should I just get a slim? ps if you want the full story of what happened its at the top of page 58
Are you still under your 1-year warranty? That would cover a replacement HDD but I'm not sure if they could get your data back. The 3-year warranty only covers RROD so if you're past 12 months you're gonna have to deal with it yourself.
I'm sorry to say that if your hard drive unformatted itself then all of your data is gone If you have an Xbox LIVE account (Silver included) You can recover your gamertag, including achievements and such, but not your saved games.
@hardcoreeric Everyone buys games soon as they come out. So you should to, otherwise you won't be able to play the game with our friends online. Which defeats 80% of games like GOW and MW2. Wouldn't be a problem if you don't have any friends I guess If you get a game for $20, it's probably a few moths old. Congrats you just got 20% of a game for 33% of the price. Also, no one would buy any game for $60 used. So get that laughing to the bank scenario outta your head son. Buying a game for cheap isn't always a good deal. Usually it's being sold for so low because none of their friends play it, it's sucks ass, or it doesn't work. Plus buying video games off Craigslist list is incredibly annoying. All these kids don't know how to be responsible and ****ing show up.
That you're worse than the 12 year olds Not my opinion! Just answering your question. Anyway, Spent waayyyyy too long on the phone with Microsoft customer support tonight trying to recover ~10,500 Microsoft points worth of marketplace content. I have 2 accounts on LIVE and when I bought my new xbox I realized I had forgotten the email and password for my old account with all of the content... I also couldn't remember the security question so I was just throwing answers at the Microsoft representative (at one point I said "try 'your mum'", and he just cracked up laughing). I even gave the guy the precise download history of the old account, but that wasn't enough for him to give me the login (and fair enough) In the end I managed to guess my login information and access my DLC, although the guy said he couldn't move my purchases over to my current account unless I could provide proof of purchase of the Microsoft points. Anyway, end result; I failed, Microsoft customer support is the best I've experienced, your account is very secure with Microsoft and I managed to get my stuff back in the end. Oh and a big thanks to 'Al'.
Anyone want to play BC2 'cause it's the shit. If you do message me on live or quote me on here. GT is xToxicxalbashax. BC2 for life!
Man you're friends must be assholes. It doesn't matter when I buy a game, my friend would still play it with me. Most of them wait till the price comes down anyway, so we're all in the same boat. Of course some buy certain titles on release day, they're just better at the game when I finally purchase it and have a match with them.
My friends are pretty hardcore gaming nerds to be honest. You get about a month max to play online games with them, after that there's been 3-5 more games released and they've all moved on. I could get them into an older game if I wanted to, but why would I? I've moved on to newer games too.
Or maybe they've already played said game to the max and can't play anymore of it? Besides when every single person on your friends list is played playing MW2 with each other in a massive game, do you honesty believe they'd join your game of GOW2? I wouldn't
Lucky you, I must have like, 2 friends who I could call hardcore gamers, the rest are pretty damn casual.
I'm gonna take da shiz's side on this, but really, it's more a system of give and take than anything else if you're friends aren't total asshats. For example, I got GoW2 for $13. The campaign alone is worth that, but I got it mainly so that I'd have something play with my friends other that CoD. They've already played it to death, but when I first got it, they agreed to play the game that night instead of the usual MW2. When I got L4D2, they'd play the first couple campaign with me, but since they'd also gone through them multiple times, I understood when they said they didn't wanna keep going. If the roles had been reversed, I'd probably do the same. We've all done all that we possibly can we Red Dead Redemption, but if a friend in our group wanted to do a gang hideout in free roam just to see what's it like, we'd do 2 or 3 of them with him. But there's no way we're devoting as much time to the game as when it was first released. Getting a game like Borderlands, even at $5, wouldn't be worth it, since everyone's played it. To get the most out of a multiplayer/co-op game, you have to get it along with all your friends. That's just the truth.
