Can you please provide a link?

Also, this kind of discussion is for that console discussion thread.
I'm pretty sure this thread is to discuss new xbox games etc....

    Perv, why do you care?
Ya, the rrod has been discussed several times a while ago. Just drop it.

He's just angry that I tried to turn the console wars thread into a real pros & cons discussion. He made it to be a flame war.

I hate how fanboys can do that...

No wait, I just hate fanboys in general.

Ya, I can appreciate all consoles, & the PS3 is just not the one for me at this period in my life & I've outgrown my God-forsaken thing(which is still fun though).

Gah! I can't find the Engadget article for the life of me, and I'm too lazy to go back and find my original post. It's in this thread somewhere. But it doesn't have the red lights in the ring, there's no doubt about that. The reason is Microsoft integrated the CPU and GPU into a single chip requiring just one heatsink, and including one giant fan instead of two small ones that remains very quiet while expelling much more heat out of the box. Even so, if the console detects that it is getting too hot or is not pulling in enough cool air, it will shut down automatically, effectively protecting your investment and removing the need for the RROD.

EDIT: Aha, I found it! Here it is.

Arggghh, Captain! You're Awesome for explaining that with the words I used but better.

Isn't insane, I don't own a 360(can't find a slim), yet I still have the top post count?

Only because I've explained it at least five times in this thread alone. I really need to just start linking. Or get something better to do.

Alright, not sure if this is the right thread to post it in, but I was wonderin if any you could help me out here. The Story:
I was up at my cabin, near Nevada, and Id been playin my xbox360 for a couple days there when all of a sudden my main profile dissapeared. I was kinda flustered, and I didnt really see the point of playin any of my games since none of the data would be saved on my regular account, but I figured, well ill just recover it when I get home. Well I still played halo and MW2 with my brothers, when a few days after that everything dissapeared. No profiles, no data, nothing, it was like my external hardrive dissapeared... After a bit of looking around I found out that my hardrive unformatted itself. So i did a little research and found out that this has happened to others Now im not completly sure what the formatting means , but Im pretty sure if I reformat it, all my data will be gone, and that might not even fix the problem.

So Im wondering if this has happened to any of you, and if so, is there a way to fix it without losing all my data. Or should I just send it in to micrsoft and see if they can fix it, but Im not sure if my data will be there. In a week Im going to see if it works on my friends xbox, but Im almost positive that its the hardrive and not the xbox

Agree with Mondae, both still great games, and The Orange Box should keep you entertained for a long time.

Also I'm not sure if this is true for the States as well, but it's very rare that I can find a game in a store that's cheaper than it is online. The exceptions are normally dirt cheap pre-owned titles or special "2 for £20" offers. But remember to factor in postage costs for online purchases when comparing :)

Ya, I get used games that are 0-20 usually, but when Gamestop has a buy "two get one free" on used games I pick up some more expensive titles.

I found a used Batman for 18. Works great. Orange Box was 18 as well, so I couldn't resist. I saw Bioshock for 15 and FO3 for 20, so I'll grab those next time. So many great cheap games!

That & five years on the consoles life is the reason I'm getting one. My Edge card is going to get alot of use.

18 for The Orange Box was a little much probably, but not by very much. Decent for an in-store price I guess.

True, I'm sure you could get it for 10 online. Eh, whatever, it's worth the money

Putting misleading links to "lmgtfy" isn't funny. It's just childish.

Completely agree, it's a steal at any price really (well not any price but you get what I mean)

It's this kinda thing that makes me prefer to continue doing what I'm doing rather than join your party on Live.
