There is a problem with iPads. I bought my iPad and had it shipped from America to Australia about a week ago. I am very happy with my purchase and have no problems with spending $150 more to get it a month and a half early. But the problem... I seem to be the only person in my district that has an iPad, and by now pretty much everyone in said district knows I have one. So, I have to keep it on me at all times unless I leave it locked up at home. When I travel in less 'savoury' places I have to keep it in a small backpack on my back under my jacket, for fear of getting robbed. Oh and whenever I do use it in public, I seem to attract a fairly large crowd of people...
Thats a seriously big problem. I've heard people are cutting fingers off trying to steal an iPad. No my friend, I wont allow you to live with such huge risk. I'll take all the burden away from you and will take care of your iPad for no extra charge at all. Ship it to me. iPad wont be any good for you if you don have any fingers left PM'ing you my shipping address. Please ship it today only. I cant let you live with this life threatening thing anymore

That's illegal where I'm from. It's not incredibly difficult for me to get a gun, but there is very strict laws and regulations, and I can't carry it with me.
This is bizarre. If I saw a guy with an iPad near where I live I'd think "that dude's got an iPad"... and then never think about it ever again.
Here's what you do. Get a standard-size piece of paper. Draw your best freehand of the iPad's home screen on it. Put a sexy hand-drawn babe in the background just for good measure. Now, when you take your iPad out and you see someone coming over to hover, surreptitiously place the piece of paper over the iPad's screen (making sure to turn it off first) and then continue as if you were still using it. I guarantee you'll avoid drawing a crowd, and any who do venture close enough to see won't be staying long. Especially if you give them the stink-eye when they approach. And growl. Bark if you have to. Problem solved. Well, that problem, anyway.
