Awesome, I can't wait! : ) Also, I must say that the degree of patience and humor you guys have shown in the face of all the people who were shitting on this amazing game is quite astounding! That kinda thing goes a really long way and I think you'll be one of the most respected devs on these forums pretty quickly.
unfortunately - you're right. I've added about 10+ users to my ignore list, and can not stop rolling my eyes every couple posts.... A HUGE thank you to the developers for sticking it out through all this. Most people would have just left the TA threads behind em. I'm very excited about the update, and the future of TOB.

Haven't played this beyond the first couple of levels yet, since I've been too distracted by how astonishingly good Badland turned out to be. That said, after all the wailing when TOB first popped up at midnight I was expecting some unspeakable catastrophe, but when I actually tried it for myself, I... well. I mean, if you don't like floating Dpads, you don't like 'em, and it does surprise me that developers don't work towards including floating and fixed from day one given how vocal fans on forums like this can be. But this? The hyperbole slung around in here so far is ridiculous. I prefer fixed controls myself, but this isn't even close to "unplayable" and anyone getting that worked up over this needs to take a breath. A simple "I'm sorry, it seems like a great game but I just can't get used to not having the Dpad precisely under my thumb at all times - think you could change that?" would have sufficed. There is nothing, nothing in what I played that needs one or the other. If you think differently, the problem is entirely yours, I assure you - which isn't really a bad thing! Nothing wrong with asking for the option to be included, and Kudos to the developers for responding to the complaints so quickly with this much civility. But yeah, unplayable? EHRMAHGERD port it to the Vita now now now? Jesus, I know I couldn't keep a smile on my face dealing with this nonsense.
Bwahahahaha! Thanks for that... great... GREAT stuff. Ima start using it. =oP Maybe if more people do, it'll just spread like a wildfire, and eventually wind up in the dictionary. =oD
Wow. People really use the "ignore" feature? Of course, you might not even see this post... lol As for the devs, yeah, these days I sigh audibly at about every 3rd or 4th post... tough business to be in for sure. DBC
Ehhh? Load of nonsense. Some people aren't happy with the controls, some are. They're adding more controls so all camps will be happy which means more sales and hopefully sequels. Not many threads go for 30+ pages and stay in the first page which is actually good for the devs. We all want this game to be good, if we didn't care we wouldn't moan and simply move onto the next game. The update will be out soon I'm sure and then 'control-gate' will be over and the world a happier place again And again top marks to the devs who have been superb in all of this and very very pleasant
I do want to stress again that the controls are very uncomfortable for me, as in physically uncomfortable, and I do not know if that is true for others. I don't think asking for an alternative to the issues others do seem to be having just as I am, like finding it hard to stay in place, are entitled. These are issues that make the game unintentionally much harder to play for what seems like (but might not be) a lot of people. Though some of you may be able to get it working fine, we can't. Also, I don't understand the argument that this is supposed to emulate the controls of a Game Boy and the like. I've played games all my life and I'm definitely used to those controls, and I don't seem to remember having to doing some weird balancing act just to make sure Mario didn't go flying off to the side because I held my thumb slightly wrong. Perhaps part of it is the fact that with a physical button staying in a neutral position is much easier and feels much more natural, but even with that, how is a floating d-pad closer to such controls than a fixed one? In any case, I'm eagerly awaiting that update and enjoying the game!
Feel free to use the term. If it catches on, we may be able to lock down funding to open an institution for research and rehabilitation.
Pronunciation isn't my thing. Although I'm kind of partial to 'Aww-tit-eyes'. That way, it's like an insult within an insult. I know it's kind of lame to insult people indirectly, but if it is because they are unable intellectually to comprehend what was said, then you're pretty much unassailable.
Hahahahah I'm loving this so much, way to cheer up a downtrodden developer doing his best Price change: Regarding the price hike, if you read this thread, you will see we have been transparent about the price changing shortly after release - we repeatedly let you know that we were going to raise the price, and yesterday before the price went up, we also posted that in this thread. I apologise but I am not sure how we can make it clearer. Simian Squared intends to always be transparent about every aspect of the development process, although 3D ATTACK will ultimately control the price as they are the publishers. We did do the right thing (which also cost us money) by having a very low introductory price so early adopters felt good for a change and were not cheated by the common price dropping tactics so often seen. We aren't rich or greedy - for every 200,000 copies sold, I will only see 15k of it.
