Counting up, ha? let me see what I can do:)
To me it sounds like the only problem you have with the thread is that you are not part of the team yet (and it really seems like you should because we need as many puzzle lovers as we can get). send over your udid to [email protected] and ill send you the next build, so you can also play while following the rest of the conversation.
After all, I don't think most of the people on this forum actually followed most of this discussion as well as you did. Don't fight your destiny my friend - Join this team to make a great game:)

Perhaps someone should have a Mod add *** Possible Spoilers *** to the title?

Counting up, with listed goals is good - see Boom Blox for examples. (I don't see any screenshots online, I'll make one when I get a chance...)

Great, seems like you started a fire since everybody here thinks you're right. Let me take the weekend to think about how to use this (or my wife will chop off my head:).

Ops what did I do! I know how wives are! I just told her I might restart my old passion (yes, I did have a tiny indie label on commodore days ....) ... she started chopping. Painful! :p:p

What about the material name pointer thingy, should that be dismissed too when you tap?

OK, give me some time to listen what the rest of us think

Sounds like a better alternative, ill take it:)

    Counting up, got it.
I don't know about the spoiler alert, Ill have to think about it too (so many things to think about today:). I admit I kinda like it that people follow and read this thread even if they are not testers. In some point or another they might actually join the conversation and give a good suggestion like what just happened with New England Gamer who also thinks counting up is a good idea, without even playing the game yet:)

What do the rest of you think about this issue?

    lol, scary stuff!!

My wife has a good point though since she didn't get to see much of me lately. I'm so busy with trying to be fast with builds while constantly analyzing all this great data I'm getting from you, So I sometimes even check my email while I wake up to pick up my screaming 2 months old child, at about 3 in the morning...
It is great fun though, I'm having a blast:)

Is there a way to see any of your past games? (even on video)

Btw I am going to break the rule, but reading back I see comments on the green blocks.
Did you change their colour? They seems brighter now and it hurts my eyes a bit.

I actually played a little with all the textures and I think overall it looks a lot better. You think the green ones look wrong now?

In my opinion, I would treat them together as one, so the pointers and the text at the bottom stay on screen for as long we, the players, choose. Then when we tap to dismiss, they all disappear together.
But some people might think they CAN take their first shot while this text is onscreen, so it might be a good idea to add an OK button to the bottom panel, or just say tap to dismiss or suchlike.

I support BA on this. The hint should stay.

They are all better but the green one is to bright for me.

Btw tomorrow wife, her mum and sis go shopping and I can put up a review.
Now I am playing random levels and I find that at level 5-9 hints do nit really help. Also ... You should give one or zero stars when hints are used.

Ill change the green ones then.
The hint system does not give you an entire solution on all levels, but it always help you narrow the options a bit.

BTW, a few time on this thread I heard people who think some level solutions has to do with chance. This is really not the case, and all the levels do have a repeatable solution.

I don't know about giving 0 stars, since the hint system is there to make sure people don't ever get stuck and leave the game. There is a reward to not using the hints (the star score) and that should help the hard-core puzzlers not to be tempted to use hints too often, while the more casual audience can skip the ones that drive him mad.

No it really was that it is spoiling the game and letting out those little dark developer secrets lol!

Yeah I am reading it more than the average TA reader but only because first I love puzzle games and second because I love beta testing. So I feel a little like a spy!

There are few levels where I would say precision is needed and the one where she stands on a green block table is one. I get is all the time right, but I am an engineer ... So I think in physics :D

As for hints ... If what you say is true, why is that I still get four stars after using the hint. That at least should not be possible!

For the green, just tone the brightness a little bit down.

I said repeatable solution, not necessarily with a strictly defined number of shots. Some levels have a skill aspect, but they are never about chance, we wouldnt do such a thing. So the levels most of you think has to do with chance, need to be fixed of course
