This looks cool!! I actually kinda dig the green screen. Now I wonder if this has any kind of items to buy or upgrades to help you get deeper or if it's more of a high score chaser? I'll look into it. UPDATE: Did some research. It looks pretty good in motion. The mechanics remind me a lot of Deep Loot by Monster & Monster. You can level up during the game, but once you die, you lose your EXP, but keep you level it looks like. Either way, I'm picking it up now. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #4 touchy85, May 27, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #5 Qwertz555, May 27, 2015 While i suck at all these rogue-like games, i had my eyes on this. If i'm not completely wrong, sorry in advance, this adorable art style was made by Folmer Kelly (Irrupt). Isn't a game like this supposed to have Gamecenter? This hold my buy back. Now i need to know more before diving in deep touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #6 touchy85, May 27, 2015 You mean gamecenter, so you can share your highscore? As far as i know, this game has an end. So I am not sure why this game needs Gamecenter tbh. folmerkelly Well-Known Member Oct 2, 2012 82 1 0 #7 folmerkelly, May 28, 2015 That is correct, I did indeed do the art for The deep! And yeah, Danny didn't put in Game Center because it's not a high score chaser kind of game. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #9 NOEN, May 28, 2015 The objective is to pretty much go as deep as you can go. No upgrades, but you level up the more you play which means you have more air supply, which means deeper exploration. It's a decent roguelike. I would have loved to see upgradable/different weapons and maybe some things to collect though. It's still a good game as is. Add some kind of currency to collect to upgrade items on the way barefootdragon Well-Known Member May 21, 2015 78 0 0 #16 barefootdragon, Jun 3, 2015 I like it. It feels original in idea and the presentation is really well done. The controls seem clunky, but that could be on me. Only thing I can say is it needs refinement, like tightening a screw, then it will be solid. deathprog23 Member Dec 26, 2014 7 0 1 #17 deathprog23, Jun 23, 2015 I really like the vibe, art and music of this game! I can't find any boss fight though - am I doing something wrong or is there a bug? I'm level 17 and can explore as far as It lets me and kill whatever I want at this point. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,489 177 63 #18 vectorarchitekt, Oct 7, 2015 So how has it been going? Did you give up on the game? I bet some color theme options would help out...
