Looking for a new tbs game. I've played: Eustrath (highly reccommend) Wesnoth Ravenmark Portia And a few others not worth mentioning. I'm looking for a hidden gem along these lines. Any suggestions? Edit: I meant Turn Based Strategy... D'oh.
I've heard good things about it. I'll have to give it a whirl. I mean, you can't beat the introductory price, right?
First question, no it's not. I'm a little stupid today and wrote rts when I meant tbs. sorry about that. But I'm a fan of all strategy games, and I'll check out Z. Thanks for the advice!
Oh, I forgot to mention Frozen Synapse (don't know if that counts as a hidden gem) which is one of the best TBS I've played. It is iPad only though. (You can get it on PC if you don't have an iPad)
I like Kingturn better (more content, smoother interface, has plot) but Battle Dungeons: Risen is worth it too. Dungeon Crawlers is free right now.
Does Dungeon Crawlers have a plot? That's turned me off a few times on some games that've otherwise looked awesome.

Hunters 2 is very good, but their Warhammer Quest game is launching this week. If the improvement from Hunters: E1 to Hunters: E2 is anything to go by, you might as well wait for it. Different setting obviously, but my money is on WHQ being the best of the 3. ludka33 Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2013 217 0 16 #16 ludka33, May 26, 2013 Yeah, I have great big war game. I'm not a fan. As for current. another vote for Frozen Syanpse, Hunters 1&2 plus I would check Ace Patrol and Levianthan Warships (do your research with this one, love/hate reactions). When I tried to check the comments (all 2 of them... sigh. Why are there not more strategy fans out there?) the link was broken. Long story short, is there a storyline, or is it just roguelike grinding for loot? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
