That's only really an issue if you investigate objects when you're very low on health. Health slowly regenerates so it helps to just wait for a while in some corner to regenerate, or just pop a Healing potion. @your personal robot: Oh, is it? Yep, its on floor 20. That's Jeff in that video narration, if you look closely, it says floor 20 in the stats (his character is level 15 though so thats where you might have gotten the mix up). In the original game version that he made in the 80's the sword would be anywhere within floors 15 to 20', so I've been told. That has been changed and its on floor 20 now, in the "sword chamber" You will know when you reach it! It doesn't look like that video anymore I don't think. I haven't seen it in a while though as I always DIE! GAH.
SQUIRE mode is basically HERO mode with resurrection, yes. LEGEND mode pretty much stands alone. Twitter integration is a great idea Pitta, we'll look into that for the bext BIG update. Also, the smoothed graphics may be possible on iPhone, will have to look into that. The current update should go live this week... woo!
Equipment info Enjoying the game. When I come across a new shield, how do I tell if it is better than the one I have? I don't know if I should take it or not.
Oh dang, you're right. I was looking at the character level, silly me. The interface looks quite a bit different (and nicer, in my opinion), I'd say it's worth revisiting.

vbMark, the quality of the shield is in the description... fine, worn, damaged, shoddy. Also, metal is obviously tougher than wood. Beyond that, it's up to your own preference. hia-leah, drift lets you fall safely, light spell does a lot of stuff... helps find secret doors, can stun enemies, lets you see further, etc. Beacon is a safe place to hide, as well as a teleport destination.
Drift: Lets you float down pit traps instead of dropping like a stone. Beacon: Drops a beacon that lets you teleport to the nearest temple when you step on it and press the smart button. Light: It, uh ... lights up. You know. Like ... like a light. It does have an added ability to help you find secret walls though...
Why is it still free? I thought it was a one day give-away? It's just sad to to see what a bunch of idiots did to the star ratings, and the sooner that floodgate is closed, maybe the better.
I was wondering, what does gold do? is there a place to buy weapons or armor or anything? and there is an equip page but I can't pick up more than one shield anyway so what's that there for? Thanks, really enjoying the game so far.

Gold can be sacrificed at temples. When you reach a certain threshold of sacrificed gold (currently 2,000, but that may change) you can get a blessing, which replenishes your health and restores whatever shield you're carrying to new condition (if you have one).
I have a question too....(I'm level 11 on 10 floor...woot!!!). Why sometimes in the temples, I got a brand new shield? It's random or did I did something special? Is related to the amount of gold I offer? Many thanks!!! (A nasty Dragon just destroyed my battle shield...I was very proud of it ) On a side note...in the Italian Store the ratings went from 5 stars to 2 and a half, with NO NEW WRITTEN REVIEWS as far as I can tell. People just see 'FREE', download it, realize it's not a new age fart app, then delete it giving it one star. Very depressing....I really hope Fargoal at least fly up in the charts and THEN, many people really interested in it buy it and Fargoal team makes heaps of money.
Can the DragonScale-thingy shield get damaged or broken? It keeps protecting me from dragon fire etc but even after hand to hand battles it still shows as 100% quality. Thereofre it seems it's invulnerable no?
I assumed the blessings (full health restore and shield regeneration) were random. I didn't realize there was a sacrificed gold threshhold. Are you saying that every time you reach the 2,000 gold mark, you get a blessing and then the "gold mark" gets reset to zero?
wobblez, the shield is very very tough, but not invincible Chocolate, we're keeping it free 'til tonight, just to give everyone around the world a fair shake at getting it.
