It is normal. Sometimes you find something really awesome on the first floor... it is just luck of the draw.
Now don't get cheeky. Not unless you're going to add multiplayer co-op and appropriate speech samples. "Warrior shot the food!" Oh, and food, I guess. You mean we're going to have to start to expect a fickle and mischievous diety who may not deign to bless us until we hit 10K gold, and then when he finally does we get blessed with a good hair day or a Chinese character tat that, unbeknownst to us, says "Wiener" when we thought it said "Fearless?" Loki is a bastard.
Hey, wouldn't want you to get into a groove. P.S. thanks for reminding me of the Marvel Thor movie that's coming out in 2011.
I'd like to retract my previous constant heckling for the latest update because I just CANNOT PUT THIS GAME DOWN. You, Mr Garden, have gazumped my spare time - I will not stop until the sword is out of there. Must. Press. Onwards!
And a pox on you for reminding me of the Madonna song. Now I'm going to have to listen to something harsh and abrasive to scrub it out of my head. Unfortunately I only have Rob Zombie in rotation, so I'll have to make do with that.
Dimension spiders I guess. But we do need that bug spray for the gajillion bajillion centipedes that start pouring out of them holes. Man that can get scary and rough.
I'm going to make a suggestion for Legend mode: hunger. Yes, I said it. A new food item and the inability to just sit around and heal would make this a real challenge. There's already Hero mode for those that don't feel all that heroic (ahaha) but those of us who eat this stuff for breakfast need more brutality. (Yes, I'm the guy that cried when I first started Legend but now it's easy)
NOOOOO! Please no hunger...please please no...I am begging. Now, I'm going to have nightmares...thanks a lot!
Mrs. Madgarden, YOU have the power to stop this. Paul, do you really want to sleep on the couch for a month?
Any true adventurer, especially a legendary one, knows to eat a hearty breakfast before dungeon crawling. I can't imagine going in hungry and hoping you find loaves of bread on the countless dead bodies in there
I hear ya, I really do. Honestly, my biggest beef with hunger is if it annoyingly slows down the gameplay in any way. Like constant fainting or moving extremely slow. But I also love Legendary just the way it is It feels like the total sweet spot of difficulty for me. Bottom line is, Madgarden can do whatever he wants, because I trust him not to screw it up. And if he does, I trust bluewomble to get it fixed for me
What an absurd thing for a legendary adventurer to say! A truly legendary adventurer gets in there and makes use of what he has at hand. Together with his wits this makes a truly legendary explorer.
Heh, have you seen the centipede lair? Or whatever it is - a walled off area only accessible by secret door that's filled with centipedes and other unmentionables. I went in there, started hacking and slashing, and then quickly departed because the centipedes keep respawning! Heh, craziness...
Yeah, I'm not adding hunger... sorry. That's just a maintenance annoyance sort of feature. I'll just (and already have) make the game harder on Legend.
Yeah I found the lair last night too. They move so fast and I had to hack my way out of there, was pretty scary (well, enjoyable ) stuff. By the way, I keep getting zapped and being confused I think it is, and when I move my avatar just moves in any random direction for a while until it wears off. But I can't see or disarm the trap that is causing it. What am I doing wrong?
You're being stunned you can get stunned by a trap. it looks like a single blue hole on the ground (flame looks like four red holes) you can get stunned by a blitz beetle. They are weak but they always seem to stun me once. you can get stunned by an enemy casting "light" near you. You can also stun enemies by casting "light" near them
+1 Nothing kills me as regularly as dimension spiders. They tend to hit hard compared to how they check versus other monsters, AND they pop in all around you once you see 'em, AND they look so much less threatening than Wyverns and such. What sort of sick mind unleashes such evil on good people? Why Madgarden? WHYYYYYYYY??
