Did you find that great big honkin' pile of gold in a black-floored room in dungeon 20? A little bug there -- no temple at all -- but Madgarden will fix it, I'm sure, and the thrill of that gold is worth the danger of hanging out with no temple in sight. I'm sure your hero would have no trouble at all there.
I think I got lucky. In my current game the stash isn't too far away from the stairs to 19, and the temple isn't too far from the stars when I climb (though it's blocked by a fire trap I have to sneak past every time) so I can make quick jaunts back and forth. The creatures in the lair are nasty though; dragons are still dragons, but everyone else seems to have like two or three times the HP they normally do on floors above so they're harder to kill. More XP for doing so though, which is nice. However, there are no stairs to the sword level on floor 19 where I am, and no tunnels to other sections of 19 either, so I'ma have to go back up to 18 or 17 to find another path down to the sword. You can trade in 3 wonks for a snerk, and if you can manage to get 3 snerks, you can trade up to a ningi. Eight ningis will get you a triganic pu. Unfortunately, ningis are triangular rubber coins six thousand eight hundred miles to a side, so you'll never be able to carry enough of them to get a triganic pu.
Fair enough... To be honest I didn't take the time to read it all. But I guess that is just laziness on my part. I just struggle parting with any of my iTunes Gift Card dollars.
I actually prefer the fact there is no temple on the same floor as the hoard of gold otherwise it'd be far too easy to cheaply level up. Just cast a beacon next to the hoard and you'd max out within no time - that's akin to cheating.
Oh, I can relate. But believe me when I tell you, this is one of those rare beasts where, once you've played it for any length of time, you wonder how it is you weren't made to part with more. All I can say is, get it. You won't regret it and you'll come back for more. Just don't keep asking where the updates are. That's Womble's assigned job. Mine is to crack wise.
Until you run out of teleport spells, then go get the sword, get into a major 4-way scrap, realize you're out of teleport spells, you didn't initiate the fight, and there's no damn way you're getting out of it alive. Then you will curse your wasted teleport scrolls.
Ha, I've got it! The person who has collected the most wonks by the end of May wins an iTunes gift card. We can all chip in a nickel apiece. Note for noobs: Wonks are blanks that have no use (yet) and just sit in your Equip stash, winking (wonking?) to tease you. I've found three so far and no one has ever given me an iTunes gift.
I haven't found a wonk or a temple shield or a dragon scale shield. Why do you guys get all the fun! *this is me whining* Wasn't it Mindfield who, once upon a time, collected 60 sacks and thus was given that grand title? Maybe the person who collects the most wonks will receive the wonker collector title. NOT to be confused with the wanker collector title.
Indeed, it is I, Lord Sixty Sacks! Only right now in my current game I only have 31. I feel like half the man I used to be. I am totally going to call you that from now on. Bluewomble88: Wanker collector.
27? Every level under level one also has side maps which can be different tilesets The sword is always on level 20 (but only on one of the side maps)
